That's what I said... the story it that one that I wrote... you can made this Movie without Gran Turismo like you can't make a box movie without box gloves or a futball movie without the ball.

Wouldn't "...was incented to become a pro after playing Gran Turismo" a better description? I somehow doubt playing GT <b>literally</b> turned him into a pro...

GT makes pro... the GT Academy program already create not one, neither five but a lot of pro racers.
The pro created by GT Academy are always in the TOP stop in the competitions.
Real-life my dear friend.
PS. You have to take GT games serious... not for hobby... you need to train like in real-life train every day each part of the track... most (if not all) pro racers uses racing simulators to train (more than real-life training).

Do they use a modified version of the game? It's been a while since I last played it at a friend's house, but I don't recall having to use the clutch at all (I am no expert on racing cars though, they might simply not have a clutch for all I know...)

Playing gt did make him a pro, thats the point. If it werent for gt he wouldnt have got his chance.

Did you set to AT or Manual transmission? In Manual transmission you need to use clutch if you enable it on the wheel... Manual is the best way to play to gain mileseconds. And clutch didn't work with controllers... just wheels.
A video to showing clutch enabled and disabled with the same wheel... it is more configuration of your wheel (GT5 can works with clutch enabled or disabled).
