You know what game would work reeeeallly well with Kinect? Road Rash

Use both arms to steer, twist one wrist for speed/break, use a throwing motion to attack.

I remember road rash 64 XD  Good game.

What I am hoping they do is make an eccessory for the throttle of the jetski to hold in both hands.  Similar to what they did with Mario Kart Wii.  Would give it a little more immersion in my opinion.  And yeah that would work with Road Rash as well

I apologize if this thread somehow offended you, but repeadetly commenting about an error when there is none isnt going to change it either.

That's OK, it didn't. If it seems as though I am "repeatedly commenting" on this error, it's because I obviously haven't made the error clear enough.

This is no more a sequel to Wave Race than a similar minigame from Wii Sports Resort. Neither is a particular flying minigame from the same title a sequel to PilotWings. The article you linked was shoddy enough with its references, but I am pointing out, via the medium of satire, how the misrepresentation of key quotes from this article is causing confusion.

It's not fair to Kinect Sports Rivals or the Wave Race series to make these comparisons, because: on one hand, based on reports such as these, KSR may be expected to carry the torch of the latter, and on the other hand, KSR should be compared to previous installments IN ITS OWN SERIES.

The way you have isolated certain quotes exacerbates this, and you should not be surprised that we are now discussing it.

So you are saying it is confusing and people may believe Rare made the original Wave Race 64.

But the thing is people are going to compare it to Wave Race 64 and that will not be stopped.  Same thing with other genres such as Racing Sims and FPS games.  When a scifi FPS comes out often times it gets compared to halo.  Or a game like Medal of Honor gets compared to Call of Duty.  Then you have Need for Speed shift that gets compared to things such as Gran Turismo.

This is what is happening here.  It is being compared to what many believe is the best Wave Racing game and an instant classic.  This is not a bad thing for Wave Race and Nintendo. Especially considering people still remember a game that is over a decade old.  It just shows that Rare has made what looks like a worthy contendor of Wave Race 64.  People do the same with Lost Odyssey and Final Fantasy XIII.  Many people will say Lost Odyssey is what FFXIII should have been.  It is just a hypothetical case but people understand what it means.

As for Shoddy sources it really isnt using sources.  It is just a piece that is written from what seems to be a hardcore gamer who hated the first kinect but is impressed with the new kinect.  Looking further you can read what he says about Fighter Within.

As I said before, he isnt saying it is a sequel to Wave Race but I can understand you saying it is at least confusing.  But once you read it, you should be able to understand what he means by saying what he said.  The only people that will likely get confused is the people who dont know Nintendo EAD is the developers to Wave Race 64.  But then again it is stated in the comments a number of times that Rare did not work on Wave Race 64 including this comment.

Cool, better than a game that came out 12 years ago................... Glad 2.0 works better though.

He didnt say it was better than Wave Race 64. He is saying he finally played a game worthy of a Wave Race 64 sequel.

Thats awesome news.

If you know your gaming history then you'd know I wasn't talking about Wave Race 64

Sorry, but they already made an excellent sequel to WR64. It was called WR: Blue Storm, on Game Cube. And I'm still patiently awaiting a REAL WR sequel, in HD, on Wii U.

 Read the OP.

"Kinect Sports Rivals – better than Wave Race: Blue Storm"

Anyways you can wait for your sequel though(months, years, or never).  Doesnt change that this game is looking fantastic so far.

It also doesn't change the fact that playing a game without any sort of actual controller in your hands..........sucks. "Improved" or not. I'd rather not pretend I'm holding the handlebars of a jetski, thanks. I'd rather just use a controller. And "better than Blue Storm" is incredibly subjective, especially since none of us have even played this.....so basically they're just going off of graphics.

I hope you realize that people has been giving this great feedback from people who has ACTUALLY played it including the person in the article.

Okay. Hurray for Kinect then.
