Pikmin 3 and Tales of Xillia have topped the American software charts according to VGChartz. Pikmin 3 also gave the Wii U a substantial boost on hardware sales, as the Wii U breaks past 16,000 units sold for the first time many months. Get the full charts below. 

Of course this is VGChartz, so it can’t be taken as 100% accurate, but it at least shows that there is demand for Wii U when a good game drops. I wonder how the sales will go when the real big hitters drop? Another thing to note, this does not track digital sales, where Pikmin 3 has been topping the charts.

Can't wait for Mario Cats and Donkey Kong

It's a nice boost, but when the numbers are so low to start with, it's hard to get too thrilled. People are going to call me crazy but IF Wii Party U has the right advertising campaign, it could be a real system seller.

For any Tales fans, I have a question. I really loved Tales of Symphonia, but I found Tales of the Abyss to be really boring. Mainly because of the characters. Any idea how Xillia compares to the two so I can get an idea of whether I'll like it or not?

I really don't care about Fit U / party U / Sport U etc, but they can mobe some systens

At this point, anything helps! Glad to see people want Pikmin 3 more than anything. I know people have been clamoring for it, but it's nice to see the demand for it actually confirmed, at least to some extent.

Ah, the percentages game. I remember this from the Vita days.

i think pikmin is selling rather well for what it is
plus is a game that will show the usually long Nintendo legs

That sucks so much. It's abysmal.

Really, a 200% boost would have still given dismal numbers.

Dont forget about Mario Kart, 3D Mario and DKC, all three of those series consistently sell over 5 million
