Forums - Gaming - "PS4"s at Gamescom seem to be running on devkits

Saw this over on NeoGaf:

The only instance I've seen of this so far, but it is interesting. Also nice to see they are using Windows 7.

People are reporting that this is not the case at the main Sony booth, but at others

Source has vanished into darkness!

It should be working now.

I think these are Need for Speed running on PC at EA booth.

Why wouldn't they be?

EA are running their game off a dev kit, I am sure Sony are doing a better job

The issue was that most of the Xbox One demos were running off devs kits at E3 and Sony was doing better then. But this doesn't matter. Both consoles will be running fine off launch

Can't wait to read how this doesn't matter, but at E3 it was the end of the world for M$. Either way, it's not surprising, the consoles haven't launched yet.

I said it didn't matter then and I'm saying it doesn't matter now.  Dev kits are designed to mimic console conditions.

You would have been one of the few who thought so...

You seem to hate a lot on gaf but you keep posting stuff from there, if EA wants to do this i dont see the problem, if it was sony with his games running on titans THAT would be a problem.

It does not matter actually, you are making a problem out of this :)
The important thing is to be able to play games, the hardware they are running on is not a big deal; the game will run as fine on the console anyway...
