Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Fifa 14 coming with xbox one pre-order, will this win over Europe?

An even bigger blow to this deal. FIFA only comes to Pre-Orders in Tier 1 Europe countries.

PS4 with FIFA is still cheaper, no? And those are just for the pre-orders ....

Playstation = The Beast from the East

Sony + Nintendo = WIN! PS3 + PSV + PS4 + Wii U + 3DS

Sony's FIFA sponsorship ends on January 1, 2014 (1 January 2014).

You can bet Microsoft is willing to throw as much money as it possibly would take to capture FIFA, and you can bet Sony likewise will do almost everything it can to secure that sponsorship as well.

That said. It's possible that this is a precursor to what might be coming. Not to get the cart before the horse, but the inclusion of FIFA 14 may be a sign that Microsoft has already secured sponsorship with FIFA.

Lol if anything Sony should be worried with Apple and Samsung not with Microsoft getting FIFA sponsorship. I believe the Sony-FIFA partnership also extends to FIFA World Cup 2014 and that's with Sony being the official international HD broadcaster for the same league.

Edit:

we know that... it has always been what was said by MS.... free for preorders in europe in 2013.... what was hard to understand ????? it's to easy to blame it on the announcer when the only failure comes from the lack of attention of the listner.... nothing missleading or hard to understand has ever been said by MS on the subject....

and that's without saying giving FIFA for free 6 months from launch is pretty moronic anyway..... any fifa fan doesn't want it 6 months from now when the season is almost over and fifa 15 is already releasing vids....

Sony's not a broadcaster, but likely provide cameras and display technology.  If Microsoft obtained a partnership they would likely either share it with Sony or Microsoft would need to ensure that it had partners, Nokia, JVC or Panasonic for example.

That would suck for Microsoft because they just lost the FIFA World Cup audience. Sony wins either way.

???? what does it have to do with my answer... I just said that info has always been crystal clear on MS side.....

and added that games like FIFA and most EA sports games are completely irrelevant to fans 6 months from launch and are not really advantages to be packed in for free..... I'm a Football fan and I love my FIFA.... but six months from now I'd rather have a free charger kit than a free FIFA 14 in a bundle....

and I know about europe as much as the next guy I actually live less than a mile away from some of the EU institutions....

weren't you guys talking about the champions league???? you do realize FIFA has nothing to do with the european leagues.... it is either  handled by the UEFA or the respective national leagues of each countries.... FIFA sponsorship is relevant to worlwide events such as the world cup, or club world cup.... stuff like that and that's it.... if Sony has a partnership with the FIFA only it gives them little weight on EU football scene

Sony has today announced it has been selected as the general contractor responsible for the delivery of all outside broadcast HD at both the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup and 2014 FIFA World Cup™, to be hosted in Brazil.
