^Framerate is evidently dropping below 60 in that laguna seca video of Forza 5

I would have thought if it was evident, you would have posted what that evidence was to support your claim.

The Laguna Seca video of Forza 5 has already been posted...it's in the OP, lol.

But the framerate drop could be attributed to the video itself and not an actual representation of Forza's framerate. I didn't notice any drops the first time I watched it but whatever.

Are you honestly serious?  You're basing dropped frames based on a streamed video from YouTube?  This is utterly ridiculous.  Who in their right mind bases any serious analysis of frame rates on a video that they've streamed from YouTube?  Absolutely ludicrous.

No one.  Not Digital Foundry.  Nobody.  Ever.  Bases a serious analysis of the video properties of a game on a YouTube video.  It's either based on the retail game or a demo of the game.

Let's start with the fact that video is recorded at 24-30 FPS.  So, yes.  Compared to 60FPS you're going to have some serious frame drops.   Half if not more!  That's not even begging to mention the fact that it's a STREAMED VIDEO!

Wow. I think you responded to the wrong post. I never said it was evident that the framerate dropped so don't get your panties in a twist, lol. I said, "But the framerate drop could be attributed to the video itself". Let me clarify. It could be attributed to the Youtube video. So yes I'm honestly being serious and no I'm not basing dropped frames on a streamed video, the other guy is, you just didn't know where to look for the video mutantclown was talking about so I pointed you in the right direction and you get all defensive as if I was the one who pointed out the supposed framerate drops. Pick your battles.
