Forums - Gaming - Sony: We Were Consistent, Others Have Shifted Their Message

i like the jabs. keeps it fun. i like both but some fanboy reactions on this thread are beyond sad and delusional. its just a game, so enjoy yourself for a change!

Somebody actually said this about gaming:

That comes with any competitive industry. Sports, electronics......it comes with the territory.

Apparently gaming industry is like sports now and that makes me sad to be a gamer. It's about rooting for your favorite company now instead of having fun playing games.

This was a empty and useless quote.
Sony lost its momentum. Xbox One was in the media for months and the PS fanboys were talking "Wait for Gamescom", Well, they showed nothing worth noting.

I´m sick and tired of this "hardcore talk" Sony having been putting out.

Huh Sony lost it's momentum? What are you talking about? They still have it....

And Xbox One has been in the media for months with a LOT of negative press....that's not a good thing man.

And BOTH MS and SONY fans were saying wait for Gamescon. And on a GAMES front Sony actually did show a LOT of new titles which is what a lot of people said they would do. Sure they were not all AAA titles but we can't say that they won't be because they are not here yet. Same for the new Xbox One titles.

I guess I am not sure what you are getting at....

What I love about this is when Microsoft execs made jabs at Sony in the past, Sony enthusiasts cried foul. It was unprofessional, they said. But when Sony does it, it's OK.

Hypocrisy, thy name is {insert applicable name here}.

lol goodluck Sony.

Also there is a LOT of opinion being thrown around like fact in this thread.

I have said it MANY times now but just to say it again. BOTH companies have pretty much and EVEN launch line-up as of right now.The edge goes by your PREFERENCE/OPINION why is that so hard to understand. Arguing over games NONE of us have played yet but are claiming they are AAA games. I can understand that for say KZ;SF or Forza or Infamous:SS stuff like that well ESTABLISHED franchises. Not stuff like Ryse or the new KI or Knack those have to prove themselves.

So chill people some of you get SO worked up over Company A and Company B lol. Anyway....peace folks

What do you mean? Microsoft fans are also crying foul here.  You act as if this is something Sony fanboys do exclusively. Also, the reason it's okay is because it's true =)

A pathetic commentary in my opinion. So ps4's 30+ exclusives are 90% indie games? I was expecting at least one AAA game reveal. Not saying indie games are bad just really disappointed at the conference.

And will be forgotten by tomorrow. Xbox wins in games.

Announced games are enough to PS4 for 2013, since sony already have many new games like Beyond Two souls, Ratchet and clank nexus, GT6, Puppeteer, Rain, Tearaway, Killzone merceneries in other platforms for users to enjoy untill Q1 2014. Also sony going to announce new games in TGS and VGA.

GAMING is not about spending hours to pass/waste our time just for fun,

its a Feeling/Experience about a VIRTUAL WORLD we can never be in real, and realizing some of our dreams (also creating new ones).

So, Feel Emotions, Experience Adventure/Action, Challenge Game, Solve puzzles and Have fun.

PlayStation is about all-round "New experiences" using new IP's to provide great diversity for everyone.

Xbox is always about Online and Shooting.

Nintendo is always about Fun games and milking IP's.

E3 was funny and deserved,

But MS indeed shifted their message and MS did it in a good way, I rather feel as a gamer I should applaud them for shifting rather making fun of them so I felt rather sad for Sony doing this. Sony for sure shifted their message in the past aswell and going from a online will be always free to now also behind a paywall is a shift I don't like.

Sony has many unnounced projects which was told in the conference itself and they kept those to reveal in other shows like TGS and VGA. Even if they annouce now those games are not going to coming this year so its best to keep them and announce later to users have something to get excited and those games are from SS, MM and ND so its going to be great games.

Sony wanted games to be innovative which is only possible with Indie so they gave importance in gamescom .
