Forums - Gaming - Cool but disappointed in both Gamescon presentations

I was really hyped for gamescon since both MSFT and Sony had been making it sound like the second coming to E3.  I figured both would be showing off multiple 1st party titles and while both had some cool announcements I expected much more.

Fable Legends Xbox One
1m Preorders PS4
Some cool PS4 indie titles
PSV Price Cut
FIFA Exclusive stuff for Xbox One

These are some of the bigger announcements but I was expecting so much more.  Neither was bad but neither was great in my opinion either.  What did you guys think about Sony's and MSFT's gamescom?

Aren't we getting a Nintendo Direct this week?

And weren't we supposed to get more PS4 launch details? If we don't get any soon, the rumor for the October release date seems less and less likely with each passing day.

3DS FC: 3969 4633 0700

My Pokemon Trading Shop (Hidden Power Breeding)

Both could have been better.

Xbox fans got Fable Legends, some XBLA, big bundles, and a concrete launch list.
Con: Would have liked to see a Rare exclusive and launch date myself.

PS fans got price cuts, launch dates, and a shit ton of indie games.
Con: But no AAA reveal like I know many expected.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

The only things I took away from the Sony conference was PS Vita price drop and PS4 release date. If you like indie games then your probably loved it though. Same with Xbox nothing major announced other than Fable Legends everything else was meh.

As I have said other times today, Sonys was boring. It was literally all indie. Makes me want to buy a Wii U instead of Ps4 now because Nintendo focuses on AAA games rather than small Indie games. Gotta love how the announcer said "We have 7 new vita titles to show today!" Then announces 2 and walks off lol

November 15th for North America and November 29th I believe for Europe.

No they didn't. Fans over-hype these things as usual. Have a more realistic expectation next time.
