If this offer is true it's just a demostration of desesperation from Microsoft, more even considering xbox one launch only in half europe this year.....

If adding value for consumers is a move of desperation I wish more companies were feeling desperate.

In the short term of course is good for us gamers, but, if by definition a company is desperate, it's because its business is at risk, so, in the long term could be very very bad for the gamer, in this case, a xbox fan.

LOL, that's some pretty ridiculous spin. MS makes more money in half a year than Sony has made in the last decade, they can afford to take some risks in their game division. It's peanuts to them.

As a corporation, Sony is no where near in Microsoft's class in terms of their financial health.

We can not confuse Xbox One's "unique exclusive game" with "Europe's biggest franchise" anouncement. In my opinion they are different games. Check IGN's article:

They're in a very good position to turn the tide if they need to, this isn't xbox vs playstation 2 brand power battle here ...

All i have to say is, USA and UK have demostrated through the years that they are only loyal to a product, not a company. If something more popular appears they buy it. So, in conclusion, to say "They're in a very good position to turn the tide if they need to", is very arrogant of thinking. A mistake that every company makes, specially sony with the launch of ps3.

its a FIFA exclusive bundle on Xbox, a good move imo

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

I don't actually think any country in the world is blindly loyal, I just don't think there is a gulf between the appeal of PS4 and X1 like some on here claim, definitely not one that can't be remidied in MS really want/need too.

Thank you for the good joke lol, this made my day :)

yes yes, so much of a joke that microsoft have to do a 180º of classic proportions because everybody at Microsoft were laughing when they saw the consecueces of their politics. If a company as big as Microsoft did that, it was because the risk of losing Xbox One at launch was not a joke at all....

I will be the first to be surprised if PS4 sells more than X1 at launch in USA, believe me..., but what i'm trying to say is, in the hypothetical case where for whatever reason PS4 sells 2x, 3x, 4x WW, even in USA or UK, Microsoft as giant and powerful as they are, won't be able to turn the sales the way they changed their politics for X1.

Sony almost depends their survival on Playstation benefits. You can't say the same for Xbox division to Microsoft. If Xbox starts to be a problem in sales for Microsoft, they will be able to cancel the support in the long term of Xbox One, and start a new console project, or even exit the console business if they think is better for them. I repeat, Microsoft as whole company, is not at risk at all, I know very well how profitable they are.

"A company as ig as Microsoft that did that" because it was the right thing to do... Nothing to do with the size of the company... It is not because the company is big that they will not adjust things... Man you have no clue what you are talking about...
Like you other reply about Sony depending on their playstation benefits... you are living in a dream world :)

Please don't stop :) It is very enjoyable to read you...

@colafitte
It's desperation for Microsoft but if it was Sony you would be climbing the tallest mountain to sing its praises. Just stop.
