So, seeing the xbox one play out over the last few months was pretty interesting. At first, everyone was hating it and for good reasons. It was a drm box and kinect was mandatory etc. Look at this awesome console now though. It has all the nice features of the xbox one kinect, but it isn't mandatory anymore for the people who don't like that stuff. The games lineup is rather strong imo too which include titles like... It has come a long way from the first reveal. The only problem now would be a kinect less bundle, but that will prob come later since the $500 one is selling right now anyways.

So in short, the xbox one has become a rather compelling purchase and great competition for the ps4. You can't really go wrong with either console.So who else agrees that the xbox one has become a rather nice console?

Here's the thing, the xbox one has definitely gotten better since it's announcement, but all of its improvements have only made it more like the ps4. So now it's essentially a weaker ps4 that costs more, and comes with a free camera. So, I still don't think it's at all worth it.

Remind me what the 'nice features' of the Kinect are for the core gamer (exclude anything that could be done by just a microphone that's $100 cheaper)

Yeah, it is an awesome console and I can't wait to get one.

It really isn't that much weaker then the ps4. It might show on first party titles, but the majority of third parties will prob look similar. It not like comparing the wii u to the xbox one/ps4. As for the cost, the added cost prob comes from kinect. So for $500, you are getting them both. The price is high, but it doesn't seem like a rip since you are getting the newest kinect with it. Though a sku for $400 without it would be better imo.

Well I can make the PS4 sound crappy also. But I won't say anything because I like the PS4 and the Xbox One.
