Whoa, did he edit his post? I don't see that part. If you're just making up something like that to win the argument, that's not cool at all. |
Did not say he agreed with the subject. But implying she is wrong for reporting him or being upset I find odd.
His wording is also odd "Sounds overtly sensitive to some idiot." Here i dont know who he is calling an idiot.

Well, what the writer and the people who are trying to flame this into something major don't seem to understand is that the average service rep can't touch something like this. The authority to handle a situation like this, which deals with a major disciplinary action, is only going to be in the hands of a few. That's a good thing, too, as you only want very experienced people with that kind of power. Because of that, they have a lot of volume to deal with, as some people report EVERYTHING. Those agents aren't sitting there twiddling their thumbs. When it comes to someone getting banned, you might have to wait awhile.
What this article seems to be saying, though, is that since she's a girl and the comments are sexual in nature, her complaint should have been pushed through to the front. Leaving aside if that's right or wrong, how are they supposed to do that? Doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

The first comment was just trash talking, but that second comment was creepy as hell. That he took the time to send it in a personal voice mail makes it doubly so. It's vile and threatening and far beyond what a reasonable person should expect to hear online. Glad he got banned.
Hoping he's just an immature 13 year old who doesn't really understand how hurtful and threatening something like that can sound and that he'll grow out of it as he matures. If he turned out to be a fully grown man then that's utterly pitiful.

So where exactly does it say this?
I don't see the big deal, I've gotten plenty of threats over XBL for being good at Halo. Just block the dude

You know as well as I do that this is a story because she's female and this is about sexual harrassment. Had this been about a guy, there would be no story. If it had been a female and the language hadn't been gender-specific, there probably wouldn't have been a story then, either. Do you seriously think otherwise?

I dont know. If a guy told another guy the same thing and then he told the news about it, good chance it could make the news. Could be called something like "Cyber Bullying and sexual harassment on Xbox Live" with a bunch of comments similar to it. Just making sure it wasnt an edit because that is "not cool at all"
EDIT: So you know I agree with you about the process of dealing with complaints and that they take a while.
News only got "hot" because it's a bird complaining.
Like mentioned above, these complaints take time to deal with, should they drop the likely thousands of other complaints that they are already in the process of working on just to cater for her?
Gimme a break.
