Forums - Sony - I want some PSV/PSN Recommendations

Remeber though. You can only DL a game a certain amount of times before it must be repurchased. I believe its 5

Is that true if it is to the same Vita system?  I did not know that.  I use a 4 and an 8 GB which is plenty if you play 3-4 games at a time or less, but I was not aware there was a DL limit.  IMO, 32G is not necessary unless you never want to delete any games.  For example on the 4GB right now I have Metal Slug XX, Dokuro, Gravity Rush, and Wipeout 2048, some of the DLC's and all the updates and I think there are a few hundred MB of space left.  But, if I wanted to play Uncharted again, I bet a Gravity Rush and Wipeout would have to be deleted or sent to PS3 memory.  Also, if you just send back and forth between PS3 and Vita it wouldn't count those as DL's would it?  Transferring between the systems is also much much faster than re douwnloading.  I think you can do it to PC also, but I have not tried it.  A 16 GB would hold quite a few games.  I have used the 4G most out of the 2 I have and it has not pissed me off yet.

All ps1 FF games are over 1GB

That's a cause for concern.  It makes me feel like I should get 32 GB.  The main problem here is that the memory cards are expensive.  I read in another thread (that said that Target is going to be selling the Vita for $200 soon) that you can transfer the data to your computer's harddrive and keep space free on the Vita memory card, but is it really all that practical?  Especially if I only have 4 GB?  I feel like even with that method, 16 GB is the minimum I would feel safe with.

I have an 8gb and I usually just delete the games I'm not currently playing, and I re-download them whenever I want.

16gb will be more than enough space for a few PS1 / PSP / PSN games, althought you'd want a 32gb card if you want them all on at once.

That's the thing, though.  I'm not sure if/when I'll want to revisit the games, and going by Xxain's post, I have a limited number of times I can do it.  So... yeah.

I must not be affected by this limit then. I swear I have downloaded Final Fantasy VII at least 10 times.

I am pretty sure what he is saying is only true for actual downloads.  You can simply send the games back in forth between PS3 and Vita and PC and vita, sort of like copy and pasting files.  He will have to verify though because I wasn't even aware there was a DL limit.

You should try:

Velocity Ultra,
Retro city rampage
and Sine mora

I was off. You can only have 1 game DLed up to 5 different systems. So yes, just delete things your not playing and re-dl them when you need it.

Oh, okay.  That is much better.  If there really were a download limit, then I would have no choice but get a big memory card because I don't know how I feel about losing the game and having to repurchase it just because of 5 transactions.  lol

My Spyro the Dragon files are ~ 300MB, Crash Bandicoot is ~ 500MB, Metal Gear Solid is ~700MB. Final Fantasy games are considerably bigger. WipEout is only 91MB.

Depends completely on the game. Max file size for a PSP game is 1.8GB, but the biggest I've seen is GTA Vice City which was ~1.6GB. Comparatively, Sonic Rivals is ~200MB.

You're gonna need space; and 32GB is a good investment (I have one). Whether you're willing to cough up the price or not depends on you, though.

$90-100 is a pretty big investment, though.

You should be able to get it for less than that if you shop around, I picked mine up for ~£50 I think.

But absolutely it is.  Which is what I mean.  If you don't have a download limit or anything you could probably juggle a 8GB or something.  I do; and I prefer having all my games on the console at once so I can pick and choose what I want to play, so I invested :P
