Looks like it is def possible- The Wii has dropped off fast- there are very few new games for it and virtually zero new games from Nintendo-

Even though the Wii will win the global hardware sales "race" for last Gen- isn t it possible if not likely that both XB360 and PS3 have/will sell more software than the Wii? The wii has more physical game sales but if you add in digital- the wii would pick up very little on digital but XB360 and PS3 would have huge digital sales over last gen- would it be enough to overtake the wii globally?

Europe really is a no-brainer, though. It will happen this year or early next year. PS3 is already ahead by 1.5m this year. Even if we assume the drop will be pretty large for PS3 YOY (-25%), it would sell over 4m this year or over 2m more from here. Wii will continue to die quickly and probably sell another 600k from here this year. This means at worst we would see Wii being ahead by 500k by the end of the year. And since this is Playstation we are talking about, it will inevitably sell way more than that in Europe next year and beyond while Wii will practically be dead.

Yeah that's true. I agree it all depends on how fast PS3 would drop and how much of a success PS4 is. I'll give you a 75/25 then .
