Oh good, the walls of text seem to have lessened! I get that all this debacling is entertaining, but damn it must of taken hours to write some of these post! I just don't think all that effort is worth it, especially when it doesn't really matter what anyone says here, as in the end it's sales and time that will determine who's right or wrong here.

Ohyeah, cause i've been parroting JL? Really. Anyone in their right mind would tell otherwise. Even Mummelmann would laugh at that statement.

My Prediction:

Nintendo will always have the majority of the Home Console Market Share during this new Gen, and the Nintendo 2DS sells will be soo bad to the point were Nintendo discontinues the 2DS. And the 3DS as well as 3DS XL will get a price cut that will bring in more sells, plus the announcement of Zone of the Enders 3DS and Mega Man 3DS and Assassin's Creed 3DS, plus the localization of a lot of Japanese games to the 3DS in the Rest of the world. And Nintendo releasing full 3D movies of every single Warner Bros. & Disney & Dreamworks 3D movies property on the 3DS and Netflix bringing 3D streaming to the 3DS Netflix App.

I'm calling it.

I actually make no claims to know what will happen in the future and have even said that JL could possibly end up being right in the end (though I still maintain that his reasoning would be incorrect even if by some mirracle the conclusion ended up the same).  Maybe sometime I'll look at this stuff enough to make my own specific predictions as to where the big three will end up, but I'd argue that you do not need your own prediction to note the fallacies of the predictions of another or the fact that it doesn't match any of the current incoming data.

Here's an LTD guess to placate you:

PS4: 60m

XBone: 55m

WiiU: 30m

I subscribe to the idea that this generation will be smaller than the last, Sony and MS will be close but atm I think Sony will edge it out, and Nintendo will do better than Gamecube but not amazingly so.  If I end up wrong oh well, I have no specific need for Sony to rule the video game world as long as they remain healthy I am happy, and if people really get into MS's idea of TV integration even though I find it pointless I won't be too mad, I'm much happier when everyone remains healthy and in the running as far as hardware manufacturers go.  

I guess that's what I find the most abhorrent about JL's general outlook.  Not only does he think that he has exclusive rights to decide what is and isn't a good videogame but he wants every company that makes what he thinks isn't focused enough on the gameplay he wants to die off to usher in a new era of games he enjoys even though it'll kill off games from companies that many others enjoy.  It's one of the most selfish outlooks I've seen among my fellow gamers, and I find it wholly disgusting.  

OH MY GOD, Nintendo's Pokémon X & Y really is in 2D for the open world, and this is only being made and released in western countries for damage control.

True story about why it was ever made.....damage control for Pokémon X & Y's Open World.

The same reason why the 3DS & 3DS XL is sold with no games, for most kinds you can buy.

The point is, that people need to buy a system to play any 3DS game, and the extra price tag for 3D when most of Pokémon X & Y was going to clearly create a lot of angry gamers who would even maybe boycott Nintendo. Plus the price tag in general to play any new Nintendo Handheld game.

 Nintendo cares about pleasing both current & soon to be Nintendo system owners.

Why else would Nintendo release the 2DS on the same day as Pokémon X & Y?

The date is one of many dead giveaways about Nintendo's reasons behind the 2DS. Now people can put their money where their mouth is. There is no longer any more excuses for people to not buy a Nintendo Handheld.

But I'm now getting into more then just your question now. Sorry.

You're talking like there is a war. And the way to put it ("the anti-nintendomination brigade"), it seems to be a holy war between Nintendo believers and non-believers. I think this is very close to real fanatism.

I don't feel like I belong to any brigade. I don't think the world is divided into Nintendo believers and non-believers. I actually don't think Nintendo is that important. Nintendo happens to be one of the 3 major console makers and probably the one with far fewer fans posting in forums, so I kind of understand why do you stick together in a "sect", defend each other everytime you feel attacked by a "non-believer" and conspire in private messages to be better prepared for the world that surrounds you. But don't think "the other side" is like yours.

So, if anyone in their mind would tell otherwise, why don't you show your own perspective about how WiiU will succeed? If you trully have an opinion, why are you so shy about showing it?
