I'm not sure why getting a Mario game on shelves in time to increase the console's value versus the other consoles that are launching is a bad idea. 

Because the attention is not on it, remotely. Xbox and PS wll be dominating headlines in national and gaming news.

I suppose you'd suggest they wait till after the holiday to release their game? 

Nah, a sunday release on 17th Nov would have been better.

Maybe the same person who told him Lucas' prediction was for the fiscal year.  Considering VGC has it at 78k, and creamsugar revealed the LTD in the US was under 25k through October (VGC has it more than 6k higher), there is pretty much no way it is at 200k sold to consumers.
