MS got unlucky that details leaked out what and how the NSA were monitoring.. I'm pretty sure reasonable people also expect that the NSA have access to Google and Amazon stuff.. Don't think regular consumers are scared/mad/worried about a company but more about the goverment

I meant more the hate on kinect spying in your living rooms, and being used to nickel and dime people for watching shows and chargin by how many people kinect can see.

This is more of a media player for the TV than a video game console. I see no threat to the big 3 and only a small loss in sales to traditional consoles. Smartphones and tablets have barely affected 3DS sales so I see little difference in this situation. The big 3 can shit out games far superior than anything on Android. I can't help but laugh when you talk about Amazon opening a first party studio. Zynga would probably have better talent which isn't saying much.

Even though I like Amazon, i'm not really interested in purchasing another console. There are three manufacturers already, and money replenishment only goes so far.
