Not a huge fan of FPSs. I long for a great dungeon crawler and an always happy to play a 3rd person shooter. Each gen has its dominant genre though and the fact that online multiplayer is so integral with gamers today only helped to push FPSs into this gen's forefront.

I don't see that changing for next-gen on PS4/360, unfortunately. Only Nintendo has a more diverse list of genres on their top 10 selling games, and that's counting both Wii and Wii U.

but couldnt you jus substitute FPSs with dance/fitness/minigame genre for the Wii?

you mean genres right? and is dance a difference video game genre than fitness. what do those games fall under.

i would just classify dance games in rithm games, like guitar hero, DDR...
wii sports is a sport game, like top spin, tiger woods...
wii play, its a minigame game like mario party
wii fit, i dont know how to classify, cos i have never played, maybe sports?
mario kart, seems racing
SSBB, fighting

althoug top 10 sales do not show the variety of games(either in ps3 or in wii), i can see the top 10 of wii with more variety than ps3.
