No but he's saying it's just a popularity contest. If game x was played by only 100,000 people but every one of them consider it by far the greatest game of all time, it still wouldn't win.


Curious that Microsoft's big two series this generation (Halo and Gears of War) has no entries listed.  I think you'd need around 64 games of a generation to give the top tier of all platofrms a fair shake.

Skyrim as Game of the Generation is disgusting. It shouldn't even have won Game of the Year. Why not pick a game that actually works? Portal? Dark Souls?

Well...at least The Last of Us didn't win.

you just said it, Wii Sports. no seriously it redefined the gaming industry. Also LBP could also be considered. Handing the tools over to us consumers was geniuos.

Who cares if it is? Besides, it's a Game of the Generation award, not a Best Game of the Generation award, so I disagree, even though I myself don't think Skyrim is worth that title.
