Forums - Gaming - Rhythm Games Surprisingly Fun?

So I have never played a rhythm game in my life and yesterday I got a Wii u and downloaded the Rayman Legends Challenge App and they have a rhythm level that I can't stop playing, its similar to the demo they showed off at E3 and it is so fun.  So now I'm thinking maybe I should give rhythm games a chance, so I was wondering if anyone could recommend some good rhythm games to me (no rockband lol).  Also share what you guys think abou rhythm games, do you think their fun or boring?

Edit:  I have every system out except the Vita.

Got a 3DS? Then you must get Theatrhythm Final Fantasy.

Oh ya I should probably mention what systems I have thanks, and I have heard really good things about that game.

If you like Final Fantasy (or FF music), Theatrhythm is a no-brainer.

You might wanna look at "Rhythm heaven feaver" for Wii. I've never played it myself, but most reviews were extremely positive, it has a metascore of 83.

I enjoyed the Rhythm Heaven series so I would also recomend it.

Samba De Amigo for Wii could be good. (I've only got the Dreamcast version with the proprietary Maracas, but I don't see why the Wii Remote set up won't do just as good a job) I love that game!

Also if you have a PS2, Frequency and Amplitude are worth a look. Both great games from Harmonix prior to their big break through with Guitar Hero and no plastic peripherals required!

Oh yeah, and Gitarooman either on PS2 or PSP!
