Dude, read my post again. I never said that FE:A wasn't the best selling of the bunch. And I don't know what is tracking over what but as of right now AC:NL has half the DS version's sales. It sold 75k in the week of the 20th of July according to vgchartz and it's been decreasing by the week. What are the odds of it that much for another 1.5 year?

And I like how you compare SM3DL sales to a port of an N64 game. Why not compare it to the sales of the other Mario platformers on the DS?

We will see how much Pokemon X/Y will sell but as of right now it is tracking 10% behind B/W preorder numbers.

MH4 will sell 3.5M in Japan.

In any case, comparing DS to 3DS numbers, the only franchise's sales that's gone up is FE:A.

the only 3d mario platformer on ds is super mario 64 ds! so wat are you talking about O.o? im glad you raised your MH4 prediction from 2mil to 3.5mil, at least thats reasonable, anyway i still think it'll sell ovr 4mil.

Why only does DS count? your saying sales keep declining so why cant i compare to other consoles/handhelds? anyway pre orders might be behind but that wont matter, there was more pre orders cuz there was over 45mil DS users while now 3ds doesnt have 10mil yet in US. thats 1 thing to note.

SM3DL isn't a 3D Mario like SM64.

I never predicted MH4 to be 2M. I said between 3 to 3.5M.

And what systems do you want to compare the 3DS games sales to?

Also, concerning your point about userbase, how do you explain B&W selling less than Diamond/Pearl? Even better - why are B&W 2 sales so low?

i see the 3DS doing better than the DS even if smart phones are around.

Ladies and gentlemen, you heard it here first. Super Mario 3D Land is not a 3D Mario platformer "like" previous 3D Mario platformers. Its sales should not be compared to 3D Mario platformers, because 3D Land is not identical to... I mean, not "like" them. Its sales should instead be compared to sales of 2D Mario platformers, which it must be "like," because HikenNoAce says so.

Maybe you'd like to propose that Mario Kart 7 is not "like" Mario Kart DS, as well, and that instead we should compare its sales to -- oh, I know, Mario Kart Wii. Because reasons.

That's right, you don't think you have to compare Mario Kart 7 to a different Mario Kart, because the concept of a recently-released game that is still selling eludes you. You seem satisfied to declare disappointing sales of any Nintendo game that does not outsell its predecessor within its first few months on market, ignoring entirely the fact that the DS iterations of Mario Kart and Animal Crossing built up their impressive sales over 8 years.

ok, Then wat game do you compare SM3DL too? Cuz in your logic nothing? Pokemon BW2 sales arent low, they are a huge success. Its been out for 1 year and its sold more than Emerald+Crstal, making it the 3rd highest sellling Third Installment. It will pass the second highest Third Installment (Platinum) by end of this year making it the second highest selling pokemon of third installments. So WTF are you talking about? Also dont lie about MH4, you clearly said 2mil-2.5mil.

I can answer these questions, too. Black & White were released at the end of the DS's life cycle -- less than a month before the 3DS launched in America. Just like Mario Kart and Animal Crossing, Pokémon is a series that typically has very strong legs -- Black & White sold faster than Diamond & Pearl for its first 83 weeks on sale in America. But Diamond & Pearl had only sold about 80% of their eventual total at that time, whereas 83 weeks after release was mid-2012 for Black & White, well into the 3DS's life.

I know how much you like apples.

As for Black & White 2, not only do they NOT represent a NEW GENERATION as Black & White or Diamond & Pearl do (new region, new Pokémon), they were released mid-2012 in Japan and late 2012 in the West, more than a year after the 3DS launched and well after it had started to really take off.

That is the dumbest fucking argument I have ever seen, by that logic we cant compare Halo 4 to previous instalments because its by a different developer or we cant compare Wind Waker to other Zelda titles because its cel-shaded.

Tbone just proved that 2m was ur prediction On MH4

U dont only compare 3DS games to DS games but to all installments in a peticular series.

B/W woild have sold roughly the same as D/P if not for piracy in Europe http://kotaku.com/5520462/nintendo-blames-ds-piracy-for-50-sales-drop-in-europe also keep in mind this was before B/W released and to my knowledge tge piracy issue had been reduced by the time B/W2 releases.

B/W2 sales are not low, its the equivelent to Platinum/Emerald/Sapphire, by the time its done selling its possible to be the highest of all them.

Dude, you can try to explain it away but the facts are right there for everyone to see - B/W2 didn't sell as much as the other Pokemon.

About MH4, the point is - it will not sell over 5M.
