Forums - Gaming - Im finally playing Rage and am somewhat disappointed in Id Software.

Id used to be one of the top PC devs growing up with Doom. I don't know where they went wrong with this game. It has that Mad Max vibe to it, but at some point I feel a disconnect. I guess console shooters have forced me to become so used to having the total package that this game just feels too damn easy. I'm playing it on hard. That wing boomerag just makes it ten times easier to kill people. Im still in the beginning but eventually I hope it gets better. I am completely disconnected from the characters, get my money, make my upgrades and move on. I still don't get what the premise of the game is and I've been playing it for two hours now.

When the most well-crafted part of your open-world game is the corridor shooting...

I forced myself to beat this game after two hours of playing it. Such a bad game.

Well they did make doom. LOL

i so wanted to like this, i tried my best to think of it as a fallout rpg esque whilst playing but it just didnt work.

imo they could have took this game and chucked a load of rpg elements to spice things up, plus the vehicle's in this game was just dumb

Its so souless. Heh...It needs character development and better battles. I liked that the enemies strafe from side to side but even Uncharted does that.

I seriously disliked that game. I genuinely loved the Doom and Wolfenstein games, but RAGE was utter trash. For such a pedigree (id) RAGE was such a mongrel. I played it both on PC and PS3, and I could go on and on about the negatives associated with the title (especially the bugs and poor story). Doom 4 better make up for this.

Playstation = The Beast from the East

Sony + Nintendo = WIN! PS3 + PSV + PS4 + Wii U + 3DS

I feel like watching mad max now so I can feel better about post apocalyptic worlds. It feels as lively as a post Skyrim Bethesda Elder Scrolls game to me. Skyrim was a huge step up in quality for me. This game was definitely made to have some RPG conversational quality to it. Seriously.

That ending...
