Like the title says, I think the home console series that I'm just gonna call Pokemon Stadium is over and done with. It's been a whopping 6 years since the last Pokemon Staduim game, which was Pokemon Battle Revolution for the Wii. That's right, they didn't make a new stadium game for the 5th generation, and we're about to head into the 6th generation. I'm betting this was in part because of the sales, but I'll have to look into that later as I already started making this thread. Silly me! But anywho, the main purpose of the Stadium games was to see your Pocket Monsters battle it out in glorious 3D. However, the 6th generation of mainline Pokemon games will be doing this aswell since the games are now full 3D, so there's really no point to the stadium games anymore. X/Y was probably in development or at the very least being thought of with 3D in mind during/prior to 5th gen, so that's why there was no 5th gen stadium game. They likely felt it better this way, cause if you wanted to see 5th gens in 3D, you'd have to buy X/Y instead of a stadium game. So these are just my theorys. What do you all think!?

EDIT: Just checked, and PBR did indeed sell less than GCN's Pokemon Colosseum despite the Wii's 5x greater install base.

Pokemon died in 2002.

Pokemon Battle Revolution was pretty bad and maybe that's why it didn't sell very well

I hope it's dead, got Pokemon Stadium 1 and 2 when I was younger and they were damn terrible, the only thing the series had going for it was letting you play your Pokemon gameboy carts on the TV and letting you double or triple the game speed... and some of the minigames were fun too.

The last pokemon console games that I play was stadium 2 with the second generation of pokemon, after that, it was dead for me, got tired of pokemon as a whole.

Pokemon Rumble replaced Stadium

battle revolution was awful, just the graphics looked great, but without a ds game you were hopeless, Pokemon Stadium were really good and the battles intense, Don't know if they will release stadium 3 (or 4?) but I would to see it!!

I'd like to think that, but then I look at Paper Mario Sticker Star...

Then why does it still sell close to 10 million+ most the time!?! lol On a serious note though i doubt they are done with the Stadium games but they really do need to rethink who they let make the game this time because it seems there has not been a good console Pokemon game since the N64 days! Give Hal back the ropes to make another one Nintendo because these other guys just aren't working out!

Awesome graphics and music! Yeah not so hot without the mainline games, but stadium games are intended to be played with the pokemon you raised in the main games.
