Good idea.

You can tell it is, because it is an Xbox one thread on vgc that is bereft of responses.

hahahaha good one!

Lol.

True though isn't it. Been a few recently and they barely get past one page. The next negative one, like... ohhh I dunno, "the One doesn't smell quite right", will get 10 pages of how the wrong smelling plastic is killing gaming.

This constant whining by certain Xbox enthusiasts is getting more and more ridiculous every day.

Let's make a little fact checking on your claims. I just checked the first two pages of threads in the Microsoft subforum for threads that did not get past page one:

  • The first two pages contain a total of 60 threads, 19 of which did NOT get past page one.
  • Of those 19 threads, 14(!!!) were created by one single user: Nsanity
  • So there were just 5 threads that did not get past page one and were not posted by Nsanity:
    • One by crissindahouse about Microsoft hiring for two jobs
    • A duplicate one by Zappykins about the same topic
    • One by Adinnieken about "Matchmaking with Smart Match" (exact duplicate of another thread that did get past page one)
    • One by Coca-Cola about the Xbox One Leaker refusing to unlock his computer (yet another duplicate thread)
    • One about Fortalezza Glasses

These statistics clearly indicate that the common property of threads that don't even get past page one is not speaking positive about the Xbox One, but being posted by Nsanity. Maybe he is very unpopular even among the MIcrosoft enthusiasists, so even these don't post in his threads. But personally, I rather believe that it's not so much a prejudice against this specific user, but rather that even Xbox enthusiasts are not really very interested in the content of these particular threads, for he created many other threads as well that received much more postings. After all, there are still Xbox fans on this site (even if many of them seem to think that they are the very last of an endangered species), and nobody stops them from posting in those threads.

Around the Network

Lol, I expect a rebuttal with a larger sample size, from say the past 6 months. Who among us has the motivation to undertake such a task?

ON TOPIC THOUGH, I think that this is just another cool feature. I like how MS is trickling out the good news, kinda reminds me of how they build the hype for a Halo game.

I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.
