the Microsoft Surface was a fail. Microsoft should stay away from handheld gaming (look at the vita).

Well... at least for not now. Smart phone ''Gaming'' is a Fad that will slowly fade away

Only Sony was dumb enough to try to take a piece of that market. Microsoft will not touch it.

I would love them to do it but there is little point with how popular smartphones are. It's a shame really, i love my portable consoles. I somehow feel for Microsoft, Windows Phone 8 is there "Xbox Portable"

Xbox One, PS4 and Switch (+ Many Retro Consoles)

Prediction: Switch will sell better than Wii U Lifetime Sales by Jan 1st 2018

(In voice of Don Mattrick) "Fortunately we have a device for that the Xbox 360 on WHEELS!)

lol sorry couldn't resist. They mobile devices need to gain traction and be able to use the x1 controller

Maybe if Nintendo and Sony pulled out of that market, but we know that isn't going to happen so no.

sony? you meant just nintendo right?

Yeah, just like how nintendo pulled out of the console market. Well according to your logic they have, because the vita generally sells better than the wiiu.

lol what? the lack of logic scares me. the guy said that if sony and nintendo pulled out, MS could have a handheld. I am implying that only nintendo pulling out would allow that cause sony doesn't have relevancy in the handhelds anymore.

They already have handhelds, they are called Surface tablets.

If the Vita was selling well then it would make sense for MS to make a handheld but since its selling terribly and neither MS or Sony can compete with Nintendo handhelds now, there is no point for MS to make one.
