Often there are many games that people just do not buy despite being good games or they are clearly not targeted towards the core gamers. Some of these games have quite amazing soundtracks. Here are a couple of my favorites:

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles was an interesting Gamecube title requiring GBAs for multiplayer. Sadly, many of you probably didn't get to hear this awesome opening song

Last year, a Pokemon spinoff for typing was released in Europe. I happened to stumble upon this epic song on Youtube. I'm surprised this song is in a typing game of all things.

Custom Robo is a gamecube gem being an awesome arena fighter. It also had a soundtrack that really fit the game's mood and theme. I find this to be one of the best songs

That Pokemon spinoff song sounds like something out of Techno Kitten Adventure lol

That Custom Robo music is funky though.

I loved the music to so many games on the PS1 that most people probably don't know

Machinarium - well known for its beautiful art and soundtrack to those who play P&C adventures, but little known to mainstream.

I love that soundtrack, first time ever I replayed a P&C adventure again back to back, just relaxing looking at the beautiful screens while listening to the music.

Yeah, truly uniquely beautiful game  - my kids love "little robot", so I went through it at least 10 times cause of them (small children and their persistence...)

Still eagerly awaiting for Amanita to announce part II - while I loved Botanicula, Machinarium is small masterpiece, so I'm really hoping we'll see more of that world.

I've always enjoyed the music for Shining Sand from PangYa!

Oh, and that putting music is like some amazing 70's porn groove.

WHERE IS MY KORORINPA 3

I'm gonna come in here and hipster up your thread by throwing in a "surely people are at least aware of most of these songs" comment. At least Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles; Kirby's Return to Dreamland etc. are things I've seen passing through r/gamemusic (<3) quite a few times. Props for the Genetos; Sensei 2 & Pangya mentions though - I'd never heard of those.

Here's my contribution: Terracon for the PS1. When I brought this up over there, I don't think anyone had even heard of the game; let alone listened to the soundtrack:

Horrifically overlooked game with a stunning soundtrack that sadly fell to the depths of obscurity.

The soundtracks of Mighty Switch Force 1 and 2

Brigandine Legend of Forsena. Quest/story music, world map theme, battle/attack themes, etc. Most of the music is both very good and relaxing to listen to. Dryst's theme is good, but it's not really relaxing like the others.

Atelier Totori also has a really good and relaxing soundtrack. While most of these songs won't make a top list or anything(Go Go Totori could,) the music is very enjoyable background music
