You are missing the point. Without Romo, the Cowboys are not in the game. The interception directly led to the loss, but he is the reason you were in a position to win at all. You can say that if the interception didn't happen, the Cowboys win. You could say that if Rahim Moore hadn't blown coverage against Baltimore in the playoffs, Denver would have won. But that's ignoring all of the other chances to make big plays that also didn't happen. The interception is the most visible play that led to the loss. But don't ignore all of the other ones that the Cowboys didn't make that contributed. |
I'm not missing the point at all. Romo doesn't throw the INT Dallas probably wins he threw it we lost that's the bottom line.
Edit: Your also focusing on a what if scenario if Dallas didn't have Romo.

Great game for the ages. Also, thePatriotslosing was glorius Also, glad the Colts won. The team is exciting.

noble is a dallas fan so it has to hurt so soon after, good watch though,

After a game in which the defense allowed 51 points (Denver didn't score on defense or special teams), you can't point the finger at an offensive player and say that he is the reason for the loss. I mean, how wrong is that? You can't give the defense a pass after a performance like that. Whether is was the pass or the run, they couldn't put a stop to it. |
Well..... he is the reason we lostbut like you and that other guy said the only reason Dallas is in the game is due to Romo but we also still lost because of him.

Yes, and if only Dallas had stopped Denver on one of their TDs, they could have won. Also, the pick was more a great play by Trevathan than a mistake by Romo.
Yes... and you are doing that with the "if the pick didn't happen..." so... all I'm saying is that blaming Romo for the loss is unfair to Romo who otherwise played a great game, when as Rol said, the defense couldn't hold the opponent to under 48 points.
Man I hate living near Dallas being surrounded by so many bad football fans. It's like these people don't remember the era of QB's between Aikman and Romo. Yeah he threw a pick that ended up being the difference in the game, but sometimes players just make great plays. Trevathan is the best cover LB we have on the Broncos (or at worst, a very close 2nd to Woodyard) to it wasn't surprising to see him snag the pick. It was a great play made by a good player. You know what else could have helped Dallas? Some defense. Maybe stop Denver after the INT so that they don't run the clock down and kick the FG.
Romo had an amazing game and I know all week I am going to read and hear about how Romo sucks and cost the team the game. This team deserves the decades of pure **** it has gotten since Jimmy Johnson left LOL.
And on another note, I guess I am done picking games. I forgot to pick yet again and what sucks is I am in a money pick-em and have 1 loss this week (NYG) :(

Peyton doing it all scoring a rushing touchdown! |
Your just rubbing it in now aren't you? lol.
I'm not saying that Romo was the sole reason Dallas lost (I mean Rivers made our defense look horrid what did we expect when Manning plays them?)
