they are the 4 best teams aren't they,this year,couple of great games to watch anyway,i'll be impressed if san francisco do it again,

yes boneark you had to take a chance with burnimmy hfa, and superchunk got to the conference game last year so congrats on doing it again,i didn't manage to repeat that feat,chocoloco won didn't he,he didn't seem that interested to defend his title this time round,good luck pickers,sunday 8pm for me

chocoloco lost in the Super Bowl, insomniac17 was the defending champion for both contests.

I think chocoloco left us this year, because we weren't Broncos buttkissers.

We did tie, so you would have won even without an advantage, I believe. Either way, I'll pretend like it's fate. I won it all last year, but the Broncos didn't. So this year, I lost and now the Broncos are gonna win it all. Woo!

i hope it works out for you,very hard to tell who is going to make it through,you'd have to go for denver v seattle because of homefield but anything can happen under this sort of pressure

I don't think anyone cares anymore.

Personally, I am always burned out at this point in the season and glad when it's finally over. I only half-watch playoff games (especially the boring games last weekend), even though they should be a big deal. But the seven months long off-season always helps me to get excited about football again.

I am going to write a postmortem for the prediction league next week. The season won't be over at that point, but after the Super Bowl nobody cares about this thread anymore, so I'll get the final thoughts out in the run-up to the Super Bowl.

So how do you feel? Do you think you can beat superchunk? Would also be really funny, if you won three weeks in a row due to HFA.


It helps that my team is in it still. I usually watch all the playoff games anyway just cuz this will be the last that we get football for half a year.

With my picks, I was sure to be... strategic I guess based on the matchups. If I win on HFA and go 2-0.... I don't know what to think anymore. HFA wouldn't work in the SB, so I would have to actually earn it then, assuming I get past this week.

Pfff... earning it is overrated. Last year insomniac17 won the playoffs with an abysmal 4-7 record across the 11 games.

Thankfully this year's winner won't suck that hard. But on the flipside, this means that we didn't get to see many upsets in the NFL playoffs.

Wait, so this year was the total opposite eh? Reg season everyone was better, but playoffs no one achieved a .500 record. Im really hoping SEA gets to the SB, cuz they got all the pieces to do it.

Besides, how does the #2 seed get all the hard opponents?

But the semi-finalists superchunk (7-3) and zuvuyeay (7-3) had done well. All others missed too many games to make a fair judgment. As for the hard opponents for the #2 seed, that's consistent with last year. chocoloco tied on all three weekends leading up to the Super Bowl, although he only needed the HFA in the wild-card round.


Ah, so he got lucky then. Was he the best in the reg season? I believe he was if I recall correctly....

 

So unless Mr. #1 seed loses, I could win all the way with HFA as assistance... would take a lot though per SB rules.  Although, I don't want to end up the same fate as choco.... At least this year it is tight for the most part.
