I presume you can use it also on PS4 as it's also HDMI output and I don't think the games have some protection on capturing video, only on Blu-ray movies. But is you capture only 15minutes a time, there is no problem you can do that with the PS4 so no need of Video Capture modules!!

well they say its due to them not knowing if the ps4 has hdcp regulations like the ps3 and that it only has 1 hdmi port

The PS3 had a HDCP lock on its main menu. Not making it possible to capture even the menu though HDMI, let along the games.

Whatever Xbone can do PS4 can do better. Yes it can!

I am sure that Sony will not sit around and allow this. They will make it happen if they deem it necessary.

No it can't

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Ok. I didn't knew. And XBOX 360 allowed it?

Yes Wii U can? Lol, I do not know what else to say. But I am sure Sony will have it on their minds. Why not? It is a great idea and all current options for capturing game play kind of suck. Buy a device to record to your PC, to format to eventually upload to youtube or something. Horrible.

It can't because of HDCP.  Sony implemented some fairly draconian measures to prevent video piracy via the PS3 and their Blu-Ray drives.

I think it was 2009, when that happened.

Would this really matter? If they simply remove the share capture time limit. Than the PS4 can internally record all game play videos on itself. And if they let us transfer the footage and not be dicks with "DRM" bs. People could edit it on their PC's.

WellI'll be damned. That was actually a big selling point for me. It is always hard for me to ever buy a sony system as it is. I had a 360 this gen, and will probably have one this ....new gen as well. This is just one more reason to get one.

Yeah, it was one of the ironies of "Sony doesn't have DRM!"
