Yes Wii U can? Lol, I do not know what else to say. But I am sure Sony will have it on their minds. Why not? It is a great idea and all current options for capturing game play kind of suck. Buy a device to record to your PC, to format to eventually upload to youtube or something. Horrible.

It can't because of HDCP.  Sony implemented some fairly draconian measures to prevent video piracy via the PS3 and their Blu-Ray drives. 

I think it was 2009, when that happened.
