Forums - Nintendo - Animal Crossing: city folk online

So after hearing so many good things about Animal Crossing: New leaf and never actually playing any game of the series, ive decided to put up Animal crossing City folk (which was fairly cheap) before i decide on getting the new one for 3DS. So far its great! I had it for a few days and i like it alot, i just found out that it also has multiplayer so i was wondering if anyone would like to play online? my town is still pretty new so it would be great to see what others have made. lol I know this game is pretty old but if anyone still plays it feel free to leave you friend code in the comments or in box me it.

Heres my friend code: 4342-4279-7097

Around the Network

I have the city folk too but rarely play it now cause of the 3DS game which for online multi play is just worlds ahead. Although one thing I like about city folk is that the frame rate is like smooth butter compared to the 3DS..

I really dislike the online aspect for CF because there is no way to check who is online and when other players get online and open their towns.  Unless you are OCD and constantly run to your gates every minute of the day and check who opens up..

I have had not problems with the 3DS framerate. Is that because of how intricate your town is?

there is no problem with the 3ds frame rate but when you go back and compare to CF it sure is not 30 frames.. however having said that, CF has graphics from the DS game and the new iteration is doing far more graphically ingame which I just love !!

Slightly off topic but I wish Nintendo would release a 3DS player for the wii U like the Gameboy advance player for the gamecube.  I would soo love to plug my current save file and play it on a large HD screen...   :Q

Oh ok then. I am glad that for once, people are applauding a Nintendo games visuals.

I've always love the visuals of the AC games.  They have their own unique style and the graphic effects are nuonced.  They are subtle and yet can take your breath away especially the water and lighting effects.
