what about a 3D platformer LBP?

That's where it's got to go next! Hopefully it makes the jump & becomes a fully 3D platformer on the PS4, but I've got a feeling LBP3 is for the PS3, and I don't think it'll be a 3D platformer.

Or at a push, Tarsier/Double Eleven, the people who made the Vita LBP.  As far as I'm aware, SD have only made DLC for LBP.

I wouldn't want Media Molecule to make LBP 3, they need to spread their wings.  They are amazing and creative, making a 3rd title would not be a lot to show for their talent.  

For the most part, LBP just needs to be built on rather than rebuilt, it's a tool kit in a way.  


its already confirmed they are working on a new IP considering their last game (or DLC) was LBP2 that was released in waaay early 2011, and that they are a company based in the UK. you can bet your ass they will be present at gamescom this year!

what about a 3D platformer LBP?

That's where it's got to go next! Hopefully it makes the jump & becomes a fully 3D platformer on the PS4, but I've got a feeling LBP3 is for the PS3, and I don't think it'll be a 3D platformer.

no way! they already have a puppeteer and ratcher and clank for the paltformer genre. one 2d and one 3d.

Do you know if it's possible for a mere mortal like me to attend the Sony conference should I go to Gamecom? If not, which day would be the best to go there?



Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

For this year? Yeah, they have those two, but I think LBP3 will be out next year. If they announce it at Gamescom I doubt that it would release this year.

Agreed. If we haven't heard of LBP3 for the PS3 by now I doubt they'd wait until Gamescom to announce it. There are 8 first-party games based on existing franchises releasing in Year One. We know two of them are Killzone and Infamous and one will almost certainly be MLB The Show. That leaves 5 others. Considering how popular LBP is and how many copies sold, I think it's practically a given. It was the most successful IP on the PS3 outside of Gran Turismo and Uncharted.

Gamescom and then TGS a month later, hopefully we'll get at least a couple of new Vita games announced. Sony, I know you're busy with the PS4 right now, but the Vita needs you.

i really have no info on that, but from what i know you can go. make a thread asking people who went and see who can help you out. also post in the PS nation thread a post asking for help, maybe somebody went before and could help you

that would be the stupidest thing in the world. they already have tons of PS3 games rolling out. they should move on to the PS4 with LBP3, specially since it would be releasing next year not this one
