after being dissapointed with the recent games, i lost much of my love for the franchises. i saw the FFXV trailer and i got some hope. but i remembered that SquareEnix are the masters of making game trailers look 1000x better than the games themselves so I left my expectations at low level. then i randomly saw this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AuwBpOLtFps and the Final Fantasy fan in me died at that moment.

from what i heard its basically Kingdom Hearts on LSD, i could see how someone isnt into that.

I'm okay with having a battle system similar to Kingdom Hearts because it's fairly fun and frantic. My reservations come from outside of the battlefield, which is where I have the most problems with Kingdom Hearts and also Final Fantasy as of late.

theres an outside of the battlefield? oh yeah, its so mundane i almost forgot. I think that is one of those series you play mostly for the combat and visuals. But thats just me.

Article was kinda off topic but Final Fantasy, imo, was dead after 10. It is Dragon Quest and Tales of for me.

What? FFXIII versus got turn into FFXV and from that game trailer, how does that not look like a legit final fantasy? The gameplay trailer posted looked beyond badass. It's probably not all accurate gameplay for the final product but it looks way better than FFXIII.

Wouldn't that imply it was selling badly? :P The thing a lot of people don't seem to understand is how much money they make, quite easily, of the core series. FF13 sold 7 million copies on it's own, so a nice profit. But then, for a fraction of the cost of the original, they make a sequel which sells 3 million copies!

It's no wonder they are making a third game, despite it being unlikely to sell more than maybe 1.5-2 million. It costs them very little to make but they are still getting sales a lot of games would kill for.
