Forums - Sony - PS4-exclusive Killzone: Shadow Fall pre-orders outpacing Forza 5 and Ryse - Analyst

Come to think of it, the reason why this is the case is because of all announced PS4 retail AAA titles, Killzone is pretty much alone, since Drive Club is practically free.

There are a lot more X1 games up for preorder and thus more spread out.

If you read the article properly then this is actually pretty good news for the Xbox games....

3 decent performing games v 1 in pre-orders.

3>1

correct me if i m misunderstanding.. so ur saying ryse and forza 5 will sell less cause of variety and sale will be split between them.. and KZSF will have more sales coz theres is only one title worth buying for ps4.... Huh now where have i seen such situation before

Its the halo and gears yearly hypocrisy. Its only ok if its an Xbox game.

@sales2099

If vgchartz preorders is any indication, the ps4 have more games preorder than xbox one and that's in US, so that lead me to believe that the reason killzone is ahead is because ps4 is ahead in preorder significantly and not because the reason you mentioned.

I don't understand the system fully but I would like to add my 2 cents and say that drive club will perform horribly and it has nothing to do with the quality of the title. This title was sacrificed for the sake of ps+. Due to a limited version being available for plus subscribers there will be a horrible retail sell through.

"I support the industry that's why I rock with all of the Big 3!"

The quality of a title is way more improtant than what the game case looks like. It reminds me of an argument I saw on another form over the box art of call of duty modern warfare 3 for both the Xbox 360 and PS3. "Fanboys" sheesh.

I don't understand why are some people comparing previous gen killzone and forza sales.. those titles had an establish user base.. unlike next gen which are starting from 0.. and going by the demand and momentum for Sony i will go out of limb and say PS4 will sell better than Xb1 and even if KZSF is purchased by 70% of the users it will be outselling forza but not RYSE and Forza combined.. and also i have stated this previously, Driveclub will have the highest number users.

Um,

The Xbox One has more first party titles in a more varied genre base. If I was getting a PS4 the only game worth it is Shadowfall.

Theres your reason.

However after KZ3 I expect the lowest selling KZ ever. Its a strong series in itself but not of the sales calibur of Forza LT.

This sounds so weird coming from you guys! PS fans are usually the ones saying these type of things =P, If you know what I mean.

Very true.

Wait until Gamescom. Sony has more natural first party up their sleeve.

@multimedialover

If we take into consideration that killzone is competing with two of the most successful shoothers (ghosts,battlefield4), this makes the killzone preorder more valuable than you think vs. xbox one exclusives games (dead rising 3, ryse) aren't experimenting those kind of competition.
