To justify their purchase. People want what they like to be successful so by attacking the competitors it makes their choice look better, and maybe they think they are reaching out to people who are undecided on a console.

Maybe it is because I haven't been paying near as much attention to this site lately but I've noticed less trolling than when I first started posting on this site.

Sure people are tearing the WiiU/Vita/X1 apart but I've also noticed they still have a community that supports them. Best thing to do is just try and ignore the trollish comments. Dont feed them.

How do you know that person doesn't play games from said company.

I've been called a Nintendo Fanboy, a Sony Fanboy, and a Microsoft Fanboy before, how can I be all 3? I know I have stron opinions on various games and consoles, and I voice it. I think WiiU and Vita are crap, and Microsoft is a greedy profit driven company with no regard for gamers.

So when I join a thread with strong objections against Kinect always on, or Vita's library, people will immediatly think that I have no interest in buying these consoles, and that I don't play Microsoft or Sony handheld games. Thing is I do, so really out of all these people who post negative news on consoles they don't own.....do they own them?

If they don't, maybe they post negative news because they want to express their disappointment in the console. Is there anything wrong with that?

Plus I think a lot of people just don't like seeing their favorite system/games get insulted or ignored. People have different tastes in games, simple as that, and I've seen a lot of trolls get banned, or even self ban themselves, just because they can't accept the opinions of others. The thing is, you peeps just need to calm down.

opinions like yours is fine, you play all consoles/handhelds. I kno people will post negative news, its life. I just dont like when some one that doesn't own a single game from company A, but takes it upon their time to find the most negative article about them and post it. Ex: They'll never post "Wii sold 100mil" but they will postb"WiiU only 160k shipped" :'-(

I'm sure people like this have at some point in their life played a Nintendo console, or whatever platform it is. You don't need to own the console to judge it.

I know a lot of people who are put off the One because of how much shit they went through with the 360 (I'm in this boat). A lot of people are put off Nintendo because at the end of the day, Nintendo's reputation relies on Mario Kart, Smash Bros, Zelda, Mario, and Wii ___ games, and most of these games really haven't changed much in the last 15 years. I know a lot of people who are put off Sony because of that PSN hack, and notorious fanboys.

So if these people are dissappointed in a console, they have every right to focus on the negatives. Why praise something you don't like? As long as they aren't critisizing games they haven't played, then that's all good and dandy.
