A good cover and title is likely to grab my attention. If a game I've never heard of doesn't get my attention it has no chance of me buying it.

When I was like 7 years old I would judge by the cover of the game if it was cool. That is one of the reasons I got Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy.

Well, they are called "covers" for a reason. They are basically the makeup of gaming (with Skyrim being the one who doesn't need makeup to look beautiful).
