lol like us core gamers consider this a big blow.......

Im all for the spreading out of releases.

The problem is convincing people who haven't already decided on the Xbox One, or currently ordered but are still on the fence, that spending $100 extra on a console because it comes with a camera but no titles that make extensive use out of it for months and with only one coming out at that point is worth it. Barring any future announcements, of course. The Kinect was supposed to be this big part of the experience with games like Ryse and Crimson Dragon making heavy or even exclusive use of it. They were going to blur the line between core and gimmick. Both of those games went back to traditional controls with only some Kinect support but nothing that is required. At this point, Microsoft has to tell people to spend $100 extra and then wait for it.

No need to,because from what i see, people who saying "lol no Kinect only games for launch now" are never planning buy Xbox One,they just find a new reason to blame MS,so why MS need to do that?

Because three of my friends are a good example as to why Microsoft needed to have something available to make the extra $100 purchase at launch worth it for them. They were all ready to preorder an XOne. When they heard it was $500 they weren't thrilled about it but they knew why and they were looking forward to Microsoft blending the Kinect into the core experience. Then they found out that the device was pretty much busted down to minor in-game functions for core titles and they decided it wasn't worth it. So they preordered a PS4. Last night I spoke with them after my last post. We talked about Kinect Sports now not being a launch title and one of them said, "I'm glad I didn't drop the money on it. Paying that much more than the competition for an accessory they talked up and then won't really be doing anything with for quite some time is bull****. A guy I work with cancelled his preorder and bought a Wii U when he found out there weren't even really going to be any Kinect games. He wanted it for his kids." Not that this news is going to sweep the world and have people crying out in anguish, but I'm certain my friends aren't the only handful of people who decided, after what they heard, that the extra cash isn't worth it. For people who don't worry about money and are Xbox fans, not a big deal. To people who need to be picky, which is a lot of people, it's a big deal.

Thank you for your irrelevant opinion

They really, really wont get the market they want at launch.

No Kinect killer app.
No compelling price point.

Its gonna be a tough launch window if theyre really wanting that Wii expanded market that they did so well to take a chunk of with 360 and Kinect.

yeah... they will miss all of those casual at-launch adopters.  good grief.

oxymoron.

Wii. Kinect.

Need not say another word.

Considering that the topic is about the only Xbox One launch title that makes extensive use of the Kinect being delayed for, at least, 3 or 4 months and thus with all things considered leaving potential early adopters with virtually no gaming use for the device for some time, my opinion is very relevant.

Lol at Gamestop and every other company who had Kinect Bundles having to email customers that there purchase is cancelled or that they need to select another game....

Or even that they lost their place ( I imajine some companies do not have an easy way to switch to another SKU )

I don't see this selling big in a non holiday release, just delay it to holiday 2014 and it will sell like hotcakes.

...and when exactly are those games coming out? Crimson Dragon doesn't have a release date last time I checked and it use to require the Kinect but now it doesn't. Last I heard it's back to standard controls as the default with minor Kinect functions. As far as Zoo Tycoon goes, it has only been said to be coming Fall 2013 but has yet to have a specific date as far as I know. You can get upset with me all you want but I'm merely pointing out the significant lack of support for an accessory that is required for the console which bumped the price up by $100 and that it's turning plenty of people off. I'm pretty sure there are plenty of Xbox fans who would have rather had Microsoft NOT require the Kinect and launch without it for $400 because for many of them they're more interested in the core experience, as many on these forums have pointed out for themselves, and the simple fact that anyone who isn't blinded by their fan-shades can see that the Kinect isn't currently getting the support it should to justify the additional cost.

Don't get your panties in a twist just because you see the PlayStation Nation tag in my signature. I'm actually a PC gamer who is just primarily supporting Sony this generation for console gaming. That doesn't mean I hate Microsoft or Nintendo for some pathetic reason. If Sony had been doing the same thing with their camera I would have called them out on it immediately. I love Halo, can't wait to see if Dead Rising 3 has that same magic as the original, I'm really interested in Project Spark, and I want to see more on Quantum Break because from what little I've read about it that game could be something else. I will own an Xbox One eventually. I'm not saying these things in some sad attempt to offend someone. I'm simply pointing out what I see. Again, considering the topic, my opinion is quite relevant.
