Forums - Nintendo - Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies DLC has you defending an orca whale in court!

Capcom unveils new Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies DLC chapter, alongside costume pack and deduction quizzes.

A DLC chapter for the upcoming Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies will feature the lawyer protagonist defending a mustache-toting Orca whale accused of murder.

"The new case, spotted on Siliconera, is titled Special Chapter: Turnabout Return, and will bridge the gap between Apollo Justice and the first 3DS entry in the series. It will also be Phoenix's first case after returning to court.

The chapter will also feature the whale's trainer, who dresses like a pirate.

Capcom has not announced a release date or price for the Turnabout Return chapter.

The game will also feature a costume pack, allowing players to outfit Phoenix in his vintage blue outfit, and a three-part deduction quiz that follows on from content already in the game.

Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies has just launched in Japan, and will be released in North America and Europe later this year exclusively on Nintendo's eShop."

Excellent. Although I thought that Phoenix was always in his suit in this new game?

You can change suits. It's an extra bonus. You can dress Apollo as a Scholar, and you can put PW's original suit. (So you'd probably could change him even more, but I've heard most of these costumes are paid DLC).

Fair enough, I just assumed looking at the screenshots and videos so far that he was wearing his suit. Perhaps not...

It all boils down to the price :( I'd be more than happy to pay one euro for this.

I can't wait for this game.

They're an endangered species, so it's the Wright thing to do!

I'd pay $2 maybe $3 for DLC but given that Capcom isn't even giving a brother a full retail release in the US (unless that has changed?) I don't even understand how Capcom can come to the Ace Attorney fanbase outside of Japan talking about DLC.

Hell, right now I am wondering if this isn't some Street Fighter x Tekken mess where this stuff would have been already on the game cartridge but Capcom locked it for DLC. I'm hype for the game but to buy it, I know I'm going to have to invest in a bigger SD card and I'll be pissed if Capcom screws me with a bunch of DLC that could have been on the game but they are trying to milk me for more cash.
