then should we be Agnostic?  I'm sorry if I don't see the benefits of being an Atheist. I love the idea of an after life...it beats just being in a box.

The existence of an afterlife isn't dependent on whether or not you believe there is an afterlife.

And it sounds like you would be a theists just in case there is a God. That doesn't sound like true faith to me, so I doubt a God would let you in anyway.

Just saying.

EDIT: What is faith to you?

Unfortunely thats is the other coin for wich religion was originally created. To take advantage of ignorance and control societies.

Wich at the time was a great idea, but nowadays we got constitutions and law for that.

If that is the purpose, out of curiosity. Which do you think is the better one?

Law seems to be more honest, accurate and clear with its meaning and based in the real world. It is created by the societies with representitves that are elected by the people. Its not perfect but its realistic and aims to be fair. It creates order without the need for dubious claims.

Yeah but it still has many flaws. You have to see law in my country man, it's a damn joke xD.

I think most atheists, including myself, are just 99% sure there's no God. We'd be open to evidence to the contrary. So we're basically agnostic.

I value the truth more than the comfort of liking the idea of an afterlife. Don't you?

Yeah. But do Atheist believe in ghost?

Atheism is a description, not a religion. I imagine some believe in ghosts, some don't.

Atheism is literally just not believing in a god.

Depending on different interpretations of what a ghost is, I don't think it has anything to do with atheism.

Not every country is in the same stage of social and political development, i suppose. In time, and with the new technologies, it will be a matter of when.

You didn't answer my other question. "What is faith to you?"

#1 and #3 seem to fail. #1 has no basis, #3 is bad logic.

Knowingly believing in unsupported claims.

Some people believe there is good support for the belief of God. I wouldn't say those people believe based on faith; I would probably find their reasoning flawed though.

I always find this question funny - Which God?

Yeah, my favourite thing to ask a religious person is: what are the odds you were born into the one true religion? Since they all contradict each other, isn't it miraculous that you decided that the same religion as your parents have is the true one?

No one believes in the Norse gods any more, what if that was right?
