Forums - General - Is thw Wii seriously hard to come by???

I've still yet to see a single one for sale in a store after 6+ months!  And yes, I've been looking...looking to buy.

They still sell for $50+ above retail on ebay so, yes, they are still hard to come by.

"I mean, c'mon, Viva Pinata, a game with massive marketing, didn't sell worth a damn to the "sophisticated" 360 audience, despite near-universal praise--is that a sign that 360 owners are a bunch of casual ignoramuses that can't get their heads around a 'gardening' sim? Of course not. So let's please stop trying to micro-analyze one game out of hundreds and using it as the poster child for why good, non-1st party, games can't sell on Wii. (Everyone frequenting this site knows this is nonsense, and yet some of you just can't let it go because it's the only scab you have left to pick at after all your other "Wii will phail1!!1" straw men arguments have been put to the torch.)" - exindguy on Boom Blocks

Oh i forgot to say... where I bought my wii was at trumbull, connecticut. When I bought it there was no line, and at least half the shipment was still in stock. To tell you the truth, after buying my wii i have noticed it in stock at least a dozen times when i shop at the mall, walmart, or target. Each time i have seen it there was no line and had been sitting there for at least a day.

Monday i went shopping for Twilight Princess to one of the biggest shopping centers in capital region in Finland. It has 7 stores that sell games and i checked 5 of them, in which one had one Wii (and i also bough the last TP in those 5 stores). At the end of march, you could find Wii, obviously because of large supply, but it looks like they haven't had new supply since then.

Ei Kiinasti.

Eikä Japanisti.

Vaan pannaan jalalla koreasti.

Nintendo games sell only on Nintendo system.

Australia has absolutely heaps of everything however sometimes stores will not have Nintendo DSs. Our local Kmart had over 20 wiis in a glass case with wiiplays, remotes, nunchucks and every game out. Our local Target had even more of everything. I'm not sure if its because there is no demand because it has been the fastest selling console ever in Australia to date, but i think they have shipped far to many to a country with a limited population

You can still probably make $20-25 on Ebay for each one of those.

Or does Aust. have its own region code?

I all depends on where you live. My local Gamestop has 8 Wiis availible and My town population is only about 10,000

Send me a message if you want to be Wii friends.

I have never atually seen a Wii box, and I live in North London, pretty close to quite a few medium sized videogaming shops, which I visit quite frequently. I also visited what it probably the one of the biggest HMV in London, and there were no Wiis at all. I have however seen them avaliable online quite a lot, from Game, where there stock seems to last for a week. However, it should be noted that I am not actually looking for one and that Game is the largest retail chain in england.

add me

Brazil have no shortages, Nintendo is selling WII here for R$2000 (U$1000), and the imported version is R$1200 (U$600)... so it's very easy to find cuz anyone can buy... I would love do live in a cuntry with WII shortages, hehehe...

I still have not been able to find a Wii, in Astoria/Portland area. I have heard that overseas nintendo shipped a whole bunch so they are taken care of, Makes me wonder If Nintedno will sell a total of 1 million from now til June 15th or so?? If so It would put them closer to MS 360's!!!!
