The Zelda themed WiiU console bundle would be awesome... if I didn't already own the console. Therefore that one would just piss me off more than anything.

Definitely the Zelda U demo for me. I think it would also help to boost sales of Wind Waker HD as well: When it was announced that Crackdown for 360 was to feature the Halo 3 demo I remember people jokingly saying, "Hey, the Halo 3 demo comes out next week and even comes with the full game of Crackdown!"

Should be good for roping in GCN guys who grew up with the original but have since left Nintendo.

Yeah for me this will decide if I'll get a Wii U before SM3DW or not. I'm mad at myself for having replayed WW earlier this year anyway... so if there's not a must-have bonus I have little reason not to wait.

This more challenging mode Nintendo unveiled yesterday is another incentive, I agree with the internet that it should be available from the get-go, not only after finishing normal mode. Of the Zelda fanbase a substantial part has completed this game already, if Nintendo want to sell them on the game a second time they need to make it attractive.

So now we know. Limited edition comes with a Ganondorf statue. Console bundle comes with golden Zelda etchings on the gamepad, game as a DL + Hyrule Historia as a download, too.

What you say? Good?

I say meh. I'm too old for plastic statues, console design is very low-key, DL only is a no-go.

The Ganondorf statue looks a good bonus but the console bundle to me looks very poor to me. I could overlook the minimal artwork changes to the console but not including a hard copy of Wind Waker seem a very cheap thing to do. I would be happy to pay the extra cost of having a physical copy of Wind Waker in the Zelda Wii console bundle.

Unfortunately that seems to be Nintendo's new way of doing bundles. Very effective cost-cutting measure, I guess. Just look at all the 3DS offers.

Somewhat tolerable with other games, if you see the bundled game just as a bonus.. but Zelda fans are typically, well, fans. They want the packaged version of a game, and they want to keep it.

It not even that great of a cost saving measure though. As it cost only a few pounds to create a physical copy of game in the first place. It even more annoying when the Lego City premium bundle actual includes a physical copy of the game by the look of the packaging:
