Unfortunately that seems to be Nintendo's new way of doing bundles. Very effective cost-cutting measure, I guess. Just look at all the 3DS offers. 

Somewhat tolerable with other games, if you see the bundled game just as a bonus.. but Zelda fans are typically, well, fans. They want the packaged version of a game, and they want to keep it. 

It not even that great of a cost saving measure though. As it cost only a few pounds to create a physical copy of game in the first place. It even more annoying when the Lego City premium bundle actual includes a physical copy of the game by the look of the packaging:
