So one thing Nintendo is known for is their unique controllers, I'm not gonna go through the NES and SNES controllers because honestly I did not own them when I was a kid and only played them at my cousin's house, so I'm not in a position to critique them.

N64 Controller - I love the N64, it gave me some of my favorite games of all time, but that controller is awful imo.  Now eventually I did get used to it, but it took a long long time.  I feel like it was designed for someone with 3 arms, I was always adjusting the position of my hands while playing.  I did like all the different colors and types the controller came in, I remember I got a clear, purple controller when I was a kid and thought it was so cool lol.  Putting the rumble pack in the back did not help either when I was a kid with my little hands.

Gamecube Controller - Personally I think the GC controller is one of the best controllers of all time.  It fits perfectly into my hands and I really like the design for the triggers.  I know a lot of people don't like the 2nd analog stick, but it was never that big of a deal for me.

Wii Controller - Personally the only time I enjoyed using motion gaming was for Zelda, I didn't like it for any other game.  I will say though the Wii remote and nunchuck do fit comfortable in my hands, its just after playing a game for a certain amount of time my arms got tired from me swinging them over and over.

Wii U Controller - I do not have a Wii U yet, I will get one by the end of the year, but I have only heard positive things about how it feels.  I have heard repeatedly that it feels really comfortable, which is surprising considering how big it is.  Those of you that have a Wii U comment on how it is.

So personally I think Nintendo controllers can be hit or miss, but when they get it right they nail it.  I think the N64 was just a special case.  Also I did not mention the Pro Controller because I have never used it, so if you have it, how is it?  So on a whole what do you guys think of Nintendo Controllers?

I've had great memories but....the GCN controller was da best imo n_n

Cant wait to get a WiiU and see how the pro controller is like.

why am i the only one who loved this controller?

gamecube, is in my oppinion, the most comfortable controller ever made. Over 1000 hours of melee and still in reasonable condition

Gamecube's Controller was a masterpiece.

I was also fond of the Wii-Mote, as long as it was kept to waggle and not that Motion+ nonsense.

Every controller made by them is absolutely great, except the NES's controller which had those square edges. I don't know exactly the problem people had with the 64's controller, I mean, it's not like you had to use both the D-Pad and the Analog Stick in the games at the same time, you just used one of them in every game. If people held it like the PS controller, trying to stick your thumb from the D-Pad to the analog, then you may have had a problem, but holding it normally wasn't uncomfortable, in fact, it's IMO the most comfortable controller I held till the release of the GC controller.

GC controller was great.

Nintendo is the innovative company when it comes to controllers. D-pads, Shoulder buttons, mainstream analog on a console, wireless that doesn't suck (wave bird), and motion controls. Love or hate them, they innovate.

Haha, both!

No seriously, they have the whole spectrum. The Gamepad is by far their worst controller so far, but I actually loved the N64 controller the most. I know, there's something wrong with me!

I agree completely. The Wii remote was not as bad as many people made it out to be. For 2D Platformers (the best genre) it was quite competent. (That is, if held horizontally, of course.)

On the other hand, no one has made any controller that has passed the GameCube's in level of excellence.

OT: You can decide if I think Nintendo has the best controllers based on the above.
