Well beyond is getting a similar set of alarm bells.. and as a gamer who liked Heavy Rain, that concerns me. I think unfortunately when something comes across as a potential issue, some people like to stick "fingers in the ears" and go "lalala". I've seen it happen on some Eurogamer reviews, where they have given a 6/7 out of 10. You play the game and then start to think, you know what, they are right. Assassins Creed Revelations was one such game, but there was so much hate on the comments threads about it... but in that case they were spot on about the issues.

Not everything is "Fanbased" hate, and a negative should never just be taken as such, and someone waving the "[insert company name] are just haters".... if the comment has some validity to it, then its a perfectly honest/acceptable comment imho.

hey give me epic fighting execution, in amazing war setting and I'l do any QTE crap for hours just to watch more epic fighting execution, in amazing war setting....

if this is like the AC/ batman with just a little bit more depth and variety I'll be all over it.... don't care about great gameplay in those games... I play them for visuals and epic action rendering.... the better it's done the happier I am.... but a basic QTE while a poor/sad idea the goodness of the visual and feel it provides the player offset that if it's well done...

I need to see more.... but if the entire game is a continuous epic scene and fights game they can throw any QTE, I'll enjoy it.... it's not like you have hundreds of those.... I like a couple every generation.... it's great for passive gaming entertainment on a lazy night...

Too soon to call in my humble opinion. Let's wait and see how it develops. I will admit so far it is wanting, but that can change.

yeap bought it this week during the capcom deals on XBL..... I finished it already.... this exactly what I'm talking about.... the gameplay is in all honnesty quite shitty and unchallenging (well unless you are aming for a S rating for each sequence on hard setting) but the game is so epic I couldn't stop playing.... loved it so much that I went ahead and bought all the DLC for it....

so yeah if that game is anything like that when it comes to epic fighting and huge display of power..... I'll get it for sure.... as I said I'm not buying those games for the gameplay.... but more like an interactive epic TV show.....

I agree with OP. I think XBros praised the footage just for it being an X1 title.

The visuals looked great, but the gameplay that was shown off was pretty dull if you ask me. I remember seeing only like two different kill animations for each kill for the entire demo. It definitely does stink of previously Kinect only.

But too early to judge in full; I'd expect Crytek to take this title forward for the better
