Forums - General - Google results disappoint on falling ad revenue. Increased profits and big numbers though.

I did this already.

Not a great time for the Nasdaq these days.

I won't be surprised if they go after Airpush , Jumptap or Millennial Media as their next acquisition to improve their mobile advertising.. Admob isn't innovating enough..

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

so they also have the problem of the shrinking desktop market. when i read a thread from dallas it always sounds as if that is only a microsoft problem.

makes sense with the ad revenue but i never thought about this problem with the new smartphone/tablet world.

THE biggest problem with smartphone and tablets in the ad world is that most ads are about buying stuff but the consumer doesn't like the idea of buying something from their phone.. it feel more unsafe their regular desktop..  it's a strange thing but it is hurting advertisers a lot.. this entire year every freaking conference about advertising/ digital media/ webshop has time devoted to it. I think i have heard over 10 hours people talking about it but no one has really found a way to counter it cause it takes small steps to have people convinced that buying from your smartphone is good..

this is also the reason why a lot of ads on mobile are about Apps which you can download directly from your Appstore/Playstore.. cause people are more used to it..

It will be fine, google has just implemented the "enhanced campaigns" that many insiders as well as non fanboys both agree will increase the Cost Per Click metric, the one that has investors worried.
