Hmm first thing would be to reverse the reversal and make some minor changes... Disc to digital would be optional.. Then you could use discs as normal or reg it to your account and sell or give away over xbl... Also I'd do away with online check in req, allow users the option to set up time for auto update

If I own MS Game Studios for a year I would...

-Buy Remedy, Playground Games, Signal Studios, Undead Labs, and Harmonix.
-Make sure those older Rare IP's are being brought back somehow
-Lionhead creates a new IP
-Build up Sports studio that can make American football and soccer games
-Have Playground games work on a new IP or PGR5
-Get State of Decay MMO in developement
-Give Remedy the funds to make Alan Wake 2
-Have Harmonix work on a new Rock Band game and Dance Central 4

not sure it is MS game studio that handles buy out and all

well let say if I was in charge of the XB division

-pretty much buy all the studio named (but that's a lot of cash to invest lol)
-work a deal with every major conference to have continental indie developer contest on Xbox with a big final at E3 every year..
-dev really good Kinect games with new gameplay concepts, why not with indie dev
-work out deals with third party to have high quality Kinect integration in games and send out dev teams if needed same for smartglass
-work a deal with Samsung and lg to do like they did with dell one TV bought a free XB offered
-I would have bought Hulu when it was up for sale and work out distribution deals with network, and start develop exclusive shows a la HBO distributed across Xbox video on every platform they have (WP, windows, xbox)
-work out TV deals in as many country as possible for the TV features of the XB
-pay devs to bring high quality useful apps to the Xbox one app store
-create a wiki/social app to create data banks snapable in game (maps, walkthrough, item creation recipes, combo inputs)

I would redevelop the Xbox One and make it more powerful or I would lower the price of Xbox One and/or sell it without the Kinect.
I would make Rare as good as they were in the N64 days.
Finally, I would buy Activision, Ubisoft, Rockstar and EA and make all their games exclusives.

smart business move probably but that's pure McDonaldization of a console.... bigger, unoriginal and bland for the masses
