AC looks fine but it kind of always does (till it release). Only liked the pirate parts of AC so far wished they made a big game with pirates ;).

One week before halo, 2 days before my birthday.. Doesn't really matter I won't get either full price.

Splinter cell.
Child of light is now AAA and contains voice acting...
I posted this comment in another thread but I thought people here might be interested.
Had a very interesting talk with an ebgames owner today about lots of gaming stuff (I love how I can just walk into a store and have a huge discussion with someone about the hobby we have). Talked about upcoming releases, hard drive size, PS plus etc, and the Convo eventually shifted to digital gaming. He said that the company has a plan in place to phase out all physical stores and have one online digital store instead, if the industry shifts that way (which it will). Most of you will think it's pretty obvious that big physical retailers would shift to online stores, but i was surprised at how accepting he was of it, almost as if he did not care that all these stores and jobs would be lost. Very interesting talk but that's the only thing I thought I should share, and I didn't want to start a thread.

I'd love a AAA sequel to Child of Light later this year. Seems a little soon though, unless it was already in development before Child of Light released (that's unlikely though because Ubisoft didn't know at that point that Child of Light would be successful). |
I can see splinter cell happening, child of light was just wishful thinking. It needs voice acting bad tho

Not surpising. I've said this before, when MS caved in and got rid of their DRM policies they were only delaying the inevitable. There will be a time, in the the not too distant future, where all gaming is digital. |
It wouldn't surprise me. He said that he loved having the ability to trade in games/lend them to friends (or to avoid failed impulse buys) but that lugging all those cases around is a real pain. We talked about infrastructure (internet viability issues) and the small hard drive problem as well. Thing is, even though he said so, I can't see them phasing out all stores. If it does happen it would take a long time.
Oh we also talked about the raising price of Canadian games. He said digital would largely eliminate the price I crease we have because of our shitty exchange rate. I wanted to ask him about digital maintaining parity with physical retailers but he seemed to be on board with digital so I didn't bother
