Start from gears 1 if you are a new comer to the franchise will help you know what the story is practice a lot in multiplayer gnasher is the gun to be used gnasher is shotgun of gears of war if u get a discount on judgment then only buy it if you are intersted in story you can check it out but don't buy if it costs you more than 20$ all other gears game are best start playing them now or you might miss the best franchise of this generation

oh btw, remember Phil teasing gears with his picture.  Didnt he tease a few other games that day?  Hmm, may be a little more to it than just teasing xD

Oh and Judgement sucks. Dont even worry about playing that. People can Fly did a horrible job on that.

Thanks for the recommendations, I'll probably skip Judgment. Why did people hate on it?

Glad the 3 games are very cheap on Amazon.

Judgment's story was ok but not with the level of other three no horde or beast mode multiplayer was no skill based tried to be cod style only nice thing was overrun mode.

For the people wondering about Black Tusk's New Ip this is from Black Tusk. And seeing as Gears was just bought it will likely be years before the next gears.

I'll be honest, I'm not really a Gears fan so it's a lil disappointing to me, Smart move by MS though.

So from everything we know do you all think Black Tusk is still working on a new Ip?

- in 2012 they had 55 employees and still hiring.  
- 2013 they said they were working on 4 core titles
-2013 released a tech demo at E3
-2013 microsoft Vitoria got relocated to Black Tusk and Big Park Studios expanding employees
-2014 Microsoft acquires Gears 

 Phil Spencer says it is like 343i so my guess is they are a pretty big studio.
