I'm always wondering what's the worst MS does with Xbox in Europe (except UK), that they think they don't need to have lower prices or that they let Sony have almost exclusive marketing on TV. At least the price could change a little bit now.

I think i was wrong in that post.  It may just be a discount.  The thread makes it sound official, but when you click the link it looks like a discount, so idk

Frankly I think one full anniversary edition is better than a collection of games simply "remastered" (aka ported) in 1080p 60fps. Like ya Halo MCC was great, but aside from Halo 4, the other games simply paled in comparison after playing the fully reworked Halo 2. Also it was quite clear that such a large collection came with tons and tons of issues, which took away from the enjoyment of the overall package. It took months and months to make it serviceable. Now idk how long exactly they worked on it, but I do know that Black Tusk and MS haven't exactly had the Gears IP for all that long yet, and that their primary focus is a new game.....so do I have a whole lot of faith an MCC type collection would turn out much better here? No. No I don't.

So if they can instead give me one completely functioning, fully redone anniversary game by summer for $30-40, I'll be more than happy with that.

100% agreed.

Welcome to the Realm of Video Games

Rare Job Posting Points at Cross-Platform Multiplayer Game with Intense Art Style

Since being under the Microsoft House hold name Rare Ltd has been heavily scrutinized over the years for not delivering the same calibre games as they did in the 90's.  This isn't to say they have done a bad job, in fact both Kameo and Viva Pinatas has been two great games with Rare under Microsoft.  Even Kinect Sports performed very well on the Xbox 360. It also seems that Microsoft is more open to bringing back some of Rare's older IP like Killer Instinct which launched back in 2013 with the launch of Xbox One.

On the other side of things we aren't just talking about owned IP being built by external devs, but Rare themselves making a game.  What we know is that Rare is working on multiple games, up to three in fact is rumored.  However we are still in the dark to what these are but both Banjo-Kazooie and Battletoads is heavily rumored because of Phil Spencer and insider Kamp on Neogaf.  However as Phil Spencer once said, new IP is in Rare's DNA so you never really know what to expect from them

Today with a new job listing we learned a little more about this project.  It is a game built under Unreal Engine 4 which could point to being a AAA game, but the more exciting news is that it is that they are looking for people who are experienced in cross-platform developement.  This wouldn't be the first game that Rare has built for PC looking at Viva Pinatas.  Rare is also looking for developers with experience in online multiplayer games at scale which makes it look like a strong focus will be on muliplayer. Lastly the art direction is looking for an "intense mood and atmosphere" which makes me think this will be a new IP since I can't think of any Rare game that would emulate this.

So what could it be?  Are you excited as I am?  For more information on the job posting please click on the link below for a much more information
