Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Xbox Empire - New thread up soon!

The Japanese support talk is getting so damn fucking old. Honestly. You're gonna get the biggest games coming to the market from them in FF and Kingdom Hearts. There will be some others as well at some point or another no doubt. Hell Platinum is a Japanese dev and they're making us an exclusive, and I know that ain't a JRPG, but it's still Japanese support.

And for all that some of you like to bang on about 360s JRPGs, simple fact is that the console still only ever had a small fraction of the JRPGs that PS3 did. You got some ok. SOME. Some were good, some were bad, one or two might have been great....whatever, the point is you guys are acting like there was this wealth of them that was expected to continue flowing and it simply isn't true. Over 9 years of the 360s life cycle how many JRPGs did you play on that system?

Edit: I checked up on TA, and predictably I was even more on the money here than I thought. Shika you played a grand total of one JRPG on 360......1 (and if your GS on it is any indication, you barely touched it), on a system with a 9 year life cycle. Tiago played 5 (and again, GS indicates he only cared for 2 of them), and he's the one who beats the drum the most. If you've played less than that after the One's life cycle is done you can come back and tell me how there weren't enough JRPGs for you this time. Until then I'm gonna kindly ask you turn the dial down on all this WHERE ARE THE JRPGs spamming (yes it's become spamming, and I'm absolutely sick of it).

You got SOME then, you'll get SOME on X1, and if that isn't enough then you simply need to go buy another system because it was never going to be any different.

I mean seriously guys. If they are THAT important to you, and considering how often y'all talk about JRPGs I assume they must be, then by god stop wishing for miracles and start saving for another console. PS3 and Vita are loaded with JRPGs. Break the piggy bank.

Obviously Star Wars. What did everybody think of the trailer today anyways?

Also Cinder Stream is about to start xD

EDIT: With Stream

Sheesh... People should have a right to say what they want to say. If users like Shikamaru wants to talk about certain things, he should feel open to discuss that in this thread.

Not liking the direction this is going.

I'm sure you all have noticed a particularly toxic feeling when it comes to the XBE, and that it hasn't necessarily come from the outside. We've noticed it as well.

Let's be frank. There's a problem with the atmosphere and overall health of this sub-community. Too often this thread is treated as a glorified chat room, and therefore the quality of the discussion here has diminished dramatically. Off-topic and spam-related posting are recurring issues that I've already had to address twice this year. The same circular arguments, complaints, and discussion points are thrown around over and over again, like people are posting to not add to the thread, but to post only for the sake of posting. Post count isn't important. The quality of the posts are. And right now the lack of quality content and quality posting is hurting this thread.

A thread like this doesn't give you the right to post indiscriminately. This is a thread like any other, and therefore falls under the rules like any other. I've already talked about the off topic posting, and StarCraft has already talked about the need to respect one another despite not seeing eye to eye, and now I'm also saying that we need to be cognizant of what we post and how we word it. This thread is not a chat room, and we all need to make sure that the quality of our posts are up to the standards. I mentioned a month or so ago that to impact others in this community, we need to be confident and positive posters (yes, you can be positive even while criticizing a game or console. There's a big difference between constructive criticism and unrelenting negativity). Again, it's up to all of you to make this thread the best it can be. The quality and difference that this thread can make is up to you all. And I think you're all capable of making it the best it can be. Thanks for reading. ^_^

My hype is failing on me regarding the recent news surrounding SW:BF3. No campaign, spacbattles and 40 player count? I am so close to cross it off my list of games to buy this year :(

If I catch one wiff that is resembles BF I am definitely not buying it. EA was probably screw us with all DLC as usual and the servers may prove to be troublesome

Yeah I support with what Smeags said. Last months this place has been really toxic and it comes from within. I hope things change because I really like this place. Good things are coming at E3

you know you want to spill lol

Also to get back on topic let me spark the discussion for a bit. I'm hearing Tomb Raider won't be at E3 but will get a full blowout at gamescom. Not from my regular source so take with a grain of salt

See a lot of people complaining about the lack of a campaign, I don't really get it though. The original Battlefront games had little in the way of campaigns as it was and besides how often do people play campaigns on shooters? For me at least it's once and done and judging from the achievements in some games it would appear the majority of people don't even play through the campaign anyway. It's confirmed to have 'crafted missions' for single player and they will include both split screen and online co op. To me that is way better than any campaign could have been. Much more replayability, and split screen! Too few splitscreen games these days, so that will be great fun and with it being online as well those that can't play locally with friends won't be missing out either.

If you are talking about the maps i agree with you, however in SW:BF2 (the one i played) the 501st journal provided an interesting take in the squad and the star war universe. I dont care what people think about it but taking part in a jedi purge was awesome lol

I mostly do, its adds value to the game and when servers screw up like BF4, what are you going to be doing with that paper weight? (if it had no campaign) I just wasted 100 dollars (AUS) on a game that doesnt even work for me?  The only FPS shooter i pay for just for the campaign is HALO. Well i for one play through all campaigns, if i am paying this much for games in AUS i might as well!! though i get where you are coming from. If it is like the missions in titanfall no one is going to touch those, seriously i dont even know the names of those guys or girl?

However, i MAY change my tune if they include Galactic Conquest. I am sure you know this mode, if they dont well the mm better be 10 out of 10

would be kind of odd for tomb raider to not even be at e3 i was expecting at least a trailer
