A true winner understands financials and how to invest properly.
Not that MS represents that with their terrible marketing deals and so on but still^^
I mean, let's just discuss numbers ok? I can't tell how often I heard that JRPGs sold 60s, then I look at maybe 5m sold JRPGs on 360 (exept FF) and wonder where all the guys are who bought a 360 only because of that.

Microsoft did not invest in a game like Bloodborne and they could for sure but didn't...Bloodborne a Japanese game pushed the PS4 a lot in sales but also created respect for gamers and sites. On Amazon the PS4 and bloodborne stay/stayed a long time in top ten while Xbo is far behind.
MS answer was we bundle Xbo with halo MCC and that will do well and it did probably even worse than some considered PS fanboys expected it would do. At that time Sony was like 'oh Halo MCC bundle cute, we have this batman bundle' and bamm the PS4 bundle batman sold out in no time and could not keep up with demand. Sure after bloodborne their are not many heavy hitters coming soon but they still have smaller games releasing exclusive like Tropico 5 and an Japanese game called Omega this month (and also had Toukiden Kiwami).
I remember that in 2008-2009 I was very into anime/Japan and I read magazines from France like RPG magazine

it not that partilar number of magazine but what made me smile back then was editors/reviewers saying stuff as 'We love Playstation but everyone should get an X360 aswell because MS deserve it for the J invested games. Also the magazine had a lot of user comments and except for a few typical fanboys posts like 'Playstation for life fuck Xbox' it had a lot of gamers who also got an X360 and loved games like LO/blue dragon/project Sylpheed/last Remnant etc...
I convinced so many of my 'I love japan' friends to get an X360 and almost all of them were in love with the games.
This generation however I can't convince anyone. In Belgium I only have two friends who got an xone. One of them is my nephew who loves forzo horizon and a Freelancer who tested the PS3 in 2005 and called the hardware a bunch of crap that will give devs issues (reported on sites like Kotaku) and the death threats he got convinced him to get never a Playstation anymore.
In November/December I criticized Xbox here aswell in the empire thread but atleast most users created hope for the Xone 'I am sure in Q1&Q2 they will have some stuff maybe Fable Legend and most important 'They have so many studios who still have to announce their Xone games' but it is now Q2 and we basically saw nothing new and those studios ended up being busy with AR :s.
The only department that MS stepped up is with the indies. I really hope E3 will be great, I was very happy with last year E3 but that was because of those all games announcements that mostly were 'lets create CGI trailers to give the gamers the impression that those games are in develoment for some time' but still no gameplay from Crackdown 3 or Scalebound and Phantom dust looks like to have some dev issues. For me sales are not that important but atleast show us you are seriously trying hard to make Xone attractive.

Bloodborne is something else, most people who play it don't even think about it as "Japanese RPG" or something. It's almost like an own genre. It was a genius move by Sony and I said that in another thread already, Dark Souls went big and got a crazy fanbase on Xbox but especially also on PC, it was maybe the smartest idea Sony had in many years if it comes to games since there are many who would do everything to get a new "Souls" game and Bloodborne is one (sure, it's Bloodborne but you know what I mean).
I'm obviously talking about stuff Tiago wants to see and there is no as example "the same would happen with a Lost Odyssey 2" or stuff like that.
I think Tiago even hates Bloodborne, he would only have to complain about one more thing MS invested in the wrong direction for him. He seems to have a pretty clear picture of what he wants (since when telling him to get a PS4 instead for the Japanese games you get as answer that he doesn't care about most stuff on PS).
If I would see at least one time something like "It's also the fault of Japanese devs who always act as if there is no XBO", it's after all them who decide to work on games which release pretty much everyhwere now except on XBO but no, it's everytime "Phil Spencer here Phil Spencer there", it's getting ridiculous.
No idea why you told me all the other stuff with Batman and so on since that are no JRPGs and the discussion was about investing in JRPGs. And you can show me as much as you want how magazines said that people should get a 360 because of these Japanese games, I look at sales numbers and see that all JRPGs together sold not even as much as one single Gears game if we exclude Final Fantasy which comes also to XBO.
See, I don't say that MS shouldn't invest in games or something but in which is the question. There aren't many signs which show that investing big in JRPGs would really do much for Xbox as long as it wouldn't be an exclusive Final Fantasy 15 or something.
